The latest Apex Launcher update is wreaking havoc on its users

If you own an LG, Samsung, or other Android devices that aren't running a stock Android, chances are, you've experimented with downloading a new Launcher to improve the experience. While there are plenty of Launchers available, Apex Launcher is probably one of the more well known ones, and apparently, the latest update has left the app in shambles.

The news comes by way of a Reddit thread and also through reviews for the app that are posted to the Google Play Store. According to many disgruntled users, the latest update, version 4.0, deletes users customized settings, has a variety of UI problems, and more. Perhaps worst of all, if you didn't back up your settings, you're now out of luck.

Luckily, if you did back up your settings, you'll be able to roll back to the older version of the app by downloading the APK. If you need detailed instructions on how to do this process, you can follow the directions in this Reddit thread.

Regardless of it being a major update, one has to wonder how these kinds of things slipped through the cracks.
