Windows Phone 8.1 to start rolling out in the first half of July

A social media representative for Microsoft has revealed through Twitter that the Windows Phone 8.1 update will begin rolling out to exising Windows Phone 8 users in the first "two weeks" of July.

Microsoft India's Twitter account has revealed that the Windows Phone 8.1 update will start rolling out in the first two weeks of July.

There has been plenty of speculation about the official release of Windows Phone 8.1, however, with no official word from Microsoft regarding the rollout of the upcoming update to the Windows Phone platform, many users have taken to social media to enquire about the release. One such user has received a reply from Microsoft India.

It cannot be determined whether this rollout is specific to India or a general time frame for the update's global rollout. With July starting next week, we shouldn't have to wait long to gain a better understanding of the deployment strategy.
