Xbox Live's cloud services are currently down

Microsoft is currently experiencing some downtime for part of its Xbox Live online service, specifically with its cloud-based features which affects the Xbox 360 console and Xbox.com.

If you are experiencing some issues with accessing cloud-based save game files on your Xbox 360 console, you are not alone. Microsoft has confirmed that it is experiencing some problems with its cloud features for users of Xbox Live for the console as well as Xbox.com.

The issues began earlier today and the Xbox Live status page now shows the following message:

Members attempting to access their stored information from the Cloud will receive a 0x807b0198 status code instead. Our engineers are hard at work and will have the Cloud back up and functioning as quickly as they can. Thank you so much for your continued patience and please check back with us in 30 for an updated message.

Of course, we will update this post when things are resolved. It's important to keep in mind that these issues are at the moment confined to the cloud systems on Xbox Live. Online multiplayer, video streaming and other services are still online and working.
