YouTube goes down, netizens have a bit of a meltdown [Update]

The popular video streaming website, YouTube, has gone offline. While users can reach the website, content fails to load. The issues is likely being caused by some sort of fault at YouTube's end.

Since around 01:20 UTC, the hugely popular video streaming website, YouTube, has been offline. While parts of the website have been returning intermittently, errors keep reoccurring for users. In response to the outage, the #YouTubeDOWN hashtag has climbed near the top of Twitter's trending hashtags with most users posting memes anticipating the situation at the YouTube offices as they attempt to make the website operational again.

If you're experiencing issues, your internet connection is OK; the problem has arisen due to an issue at YouTube's end, and everyone is unable to access the website.
