Instagram's latest feature drop is four new stickers you can interact with

Instagram launches four new stickers

If you’re looking to try out something new on Instagram, the Meta-owned social media platform has launched four new interactive stickers for Stories. To begin with, Instagram has added a new “Add Yours Music” sticker that lets you share your favorite songs with your friends and followers.

You can choose Add Yours Music from the sticker tray, select a song from Instagram’s music library, and post it as a story. According to Instagram, the people who view your story can tap on the Add Yours button to include their song favorites and contribute to the public thread you started.

Note that this isn’t the first time we have seen the Add Yours format on Meta-owned apps social media apps. Instagram already lets you share customizable story templates and write custom prompts people can react to.

Anyway, you can give Instagram’s Frames sticker a try if you want to go a bit old school with your photos. The sticker turns your images into instant prints, looking as if they were taken using a Polaroid camera.

The images you share as Stories with the Frames sticker will appear greyed out to the viewers. They will have to shake their phone (or tap the 'Shake to reveal' button) to develop the image inside the frame.

Similarly, the new Reveal sticker lets you post hidden Stories on the platform. As weird as it gets, Instagram said that people will only be able to see the content of your story after they send a direct message to you for approval.

Apart from that, the Cutouts sticker lets you snip objects from photos/videos and use them as stickers in your stories or reels. Instagram will automatically generate a cutout from the media you choose from the gallery or you can manually select the object you want for your sticker.

In addition to your gallery, you can create cutouts from photos available on Instagram. However, the company notes that “you’ll only see the option to create a sticker from eligible photos shared by public accounts on Instagram.” The cutouts you create using the sticker will get saved to your sticker tray for future access.
