win8.1 Missing applications following a failed update

So I decided to manually update the apps but the updates got stuck to "Pending". The apps that are being updated started to get the faded look a small bar is at their bottom (this is how they looked like on as they are installed on first boot). The problem is that their respective live tiles are turned off because of this. I opened the Store and voila, they are gone from the Start screen, All Apps, and does not show up on search. If I go to their respective pages on the Store, it is listed as "installed". Anyone experience this?
