Google announced that its AI Plus paid subscription tier is expanding to 40 more countries. It"s the latest paid tier in Google One, with access to premium Gemini and Veo models, as well as other AI tools.
Google said it has launched the new tier in additional countries following positive reviews in Indonesia, where it initially debuted. It sits between the free version and the Google AI Pro subscription, offering higher limits for Google"s Nano Banana image generation and editing model in the Gemini app.
In addition to more of Gemini 2.5 Pro and Deep Research, Google AI Plus offers higher limits for Google"s Veo 3 Fast video generation model in the Gemini app, Flow, and Whisk. You"ll get 200 monthly credits for use in Flow and Whisk, which is significantly less than the 1,000 credits offered with AI Pro but double that of the free version.
There is Gemini built into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other Google apps to power features such as Help me write, Help me connect, and Help me visualize. NotebookLM offers higher limits for Audio Overviews, notebooks, and other features as part of the plan. It includes 200 GB of cloud storage across Photos, Drive, and Gmail, which you can share with up to five family members, along with other benefits.
More than two dozen of the newly supported countries are spread across Asia and Africa, but you can also find names from North and South America. Note that you must be 18 years or older to use Flow, the Gemini app, the Gemini 2.5 Pro model in AI mode, and other features.
You can"t upgrade to Google AI Plus if you are a current Google One member who subscribed through a third-party or Pixel Pass. While the prices vary by region, Google is currently offering a 50% discount on the new plan.
