10TB Western Digital Red Pro NAS HDD has dropped to its lowest price ever

Western Digital Red Pro NAS Internal HDD

Currently, both Amazon US and Newegg are offering the 10TB Western Digital Red Pro NAS Internal HDD at its lowest price yet, so you may want to check it out if you are in the market for a high-performance NAS hard drive (purchase links are toward the bottom of the article).

The WD Red Pro is an enterprise-class NAS hard drive engineered for continuous 24×7 operation in multi-bay, RAID-optimised environments. It incorporates NASware technology to adjust performance parameters automatically for NAS workloads and achieves sustained data transfer rates of up to 267MB/s.

The drive operates at 7,200 RPM, features 512MB of cache, and uses Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) to ensure consistent performance under high-intensity, multi-user demands. Its built-in Rotation Vibration (RV) sensors detect and counteract disturbances from adjacent drives, while a multi-axis shock sensor with dynamic fly-height technology protects against impact events, ensuring stable performance and data integrity.

Furthermore, the WD Red Pro is rated for up to 550TB of annual workload and offers a mean time between failures (MTBF) of up to 2.5 million hours. Its operating temperature range spans from 0°C to 65°C and non-operating from –40°C to 70°C. Finally, it is covered by a five-year limited warranty as well.
