Amazon is once again offering the Amazon Echo Dot Max at its lowest price. The device features a two-way mono speaker system consisting of a 0.8-inch tweeter and a 2.5-inch woofer, claiming to deliver audio across a frequency range of 53Hz to 16kHz.
It supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Bluetooth 5.3 with Low Energy, including A2DP for audio streaming and AVRCP for device control. Furthermore, it also functions as a smart home hub with built-in Zigbee, Matter, and Thread Border Router compatibility. Amazon Sidewalk is included to extend connectivity beyond standard Wi-Fi range using shared network resources.
Powered by the AZ3 processor with an integrated AI accelerator, the Echo Dot Max incorporates Omnisense technology for ambient intelligence, enabling features such as presence detection, temperature sensing, and tap gesture control. Additional sensors include ambient light and temperature sensors, as well as an accelerometer.
The device can extend Wi-Fi coverage when paired with a compatible eero router, which should add up to 1,000 square feet of coverage with speeds up to 100Mbps and support for up to 10 connected devices on the 5GHz band. Setup is completed through the Alexa app, which is compatible with Android, iOS, Fire OS, and web browsers.
When it comes to the privacy features, the Echo Dot Max includes a microphone off button, wake word activation, and the ability to review and delete voice recordings. In addition, accessibility options include adaptive listening, adjustable speech rate, audible request tones, and read-aloud functionality. Finally, the device comes with a one-year limited warranty with optional extended coverage available.
