AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D gets first big discount

The Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor

AMD's processors with stacked 3D cache have a reputation for being extremely capable gaming chips that deliver the best experience. However, these processors are also great for professional and creative work, and if you have a budget for a high-end, no-compromise PC, check out the Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, which is now available at a new all-time low price with a 7% discount on Amazon.

The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is a desktop processor for the AM5 socket. It packs 16 cores and 32 threads with a base clock speed of 4.3GHz. It can auto-boost all the way to 5.7GHz, and if that is not enough, you can overclock it even more, assuming you have enough cooling headroom and a decent motherboard. Interestingly, previous-gen Ryzen 3D processors were locked due to instabilities, but generational improvements allowed AMD to unlock new chips for extra performance.

Speaking of cooling, the processor is rated for a 170W default TDP. A cooler is not included with the chip, so be sure to buy one that can work with 200W chips or more. AMD says a liquid cooler is recommended for the best performance.
