Edifier R1280T and Klipsch R-80SWi are really good deals for limited time only

You can also pair the Edifier 1280T and Klipsch R-80SWi for an amazing near-field sound experience for under $350.

Recently we covered the Nakamichi Shockwafe soundbar deal, as the product is currently at an all-time low price. It is a really good soundbar to get alongside the Samsung Q990F. There is also the option to get a receiver to pair up with separate speakers. For that purpose, Onkyo and Denon have a couple of really good deals to consider.

However, not everyone may have the budget or even the room to accommodate large audio systems. Perhaps you want to upgrade your PC audio or enhance the sound coming from your TV. In that case Edifier's 1280T can be a very good option (purchase link down below under the specs table).

Compared to the aforementioned soundbars, you do not get as much sub-bass from these speakers alone, but the mids and highs on the R1280T are really good, as it is a two-way design with a dedicated tweeter (a high-frequency driver). You get better stereo soundstage and imaging as a result and it should be a spectacular near-field listening experience for the price you are paying.

Another benefit is that it has a built-in amplifier so that means you don't need an external power source since the 1280T is active and not passive. The technical specifications of the Edifier R1280T are given in the table below:

Specification Value
Total Output Power (RMS) 21W + 21W (42W)
Driver Units 0.5" Silk Dome Tweeter + 4" Mid-range/Bass Woofer with 2-way active crossover
Frequency Response 52Hz – 20kHz
Signal-to-Noise Ratio ≥ 85dB (A)
Audio Inputs Dual RCA Inputs
Input Sensitivity LPC: 750mV ± 50mV
AUX: 550mV ± 50mV

Sadly it does not have a sub-out port but you can add a full-range signal splitter ahead of it and add a subwoofer too for deep bass. That's where the Klipsch R-80SWi comes in. This is a small subwoofer that carries an 8-inch driver and thanks to its design of using a down-firing port, it is really good for near-field listening. It can also go wireless.

Once combined, set the crossover frequency on the 80SWi to somewhere around 45-50 Hz for a perfect blend between the two. The technical specs of the Klipsch R-80SWi are given in the table below:

Specification Klipsch R-80SWi

Maximum Acoustic Output 108dB
