JBL Bar MK2 7.1 and 2.1 Dolby soundbars with subwoofer have never been cheaper

Meanwhile JBL is also joining the party with its own offerings as the company's Bar 700MK2 7.1 and MK2 2.1 systems have hit all-time low prices (purchase links under the specs table down below).

Between the two, the Bar 700MK2 7.1 is clearly built with a cinema-first approach. You’re getting a true multi-channel layout with detachable battery-powered wireless surround speakers. Unlike soundbars that rely on digital processing to simulate surround, this one uses physically separate drivers placed around the room, so spatial effects feel more real. And this will also enhance the soundstage when listening to stereo content.

JBL also includes a dedicated wireless 10-inch subwoofer on the 700MK2 that should deliver deep, room-filling bass. The company claims the sub goes down to 35 Hz before rolling off steeply. The 2.1 MK2 also comes with a wireless subwoofer, though this one is smaller at 6.5 inches. As such, JBL says it is able to hit closer to 40 Hz.
