This past week we covered an amazing Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM deal wherein you get a 32GB Dual memory kit for only $270. It is a 6000 MT/s module pair that is both Intel and AMD compatible thanks to support for XMP as well as EXPO. Check out all the details and purchase link in its dedicated article here.
Meanwhile, for any of you out there looking for laptop SODIMM memory, you are in luck as a G.Skill 8GB DDR4-2400 model is on sale for just $56 making it an amazing deal just like the Corsair one above. So you can get a single stick for that price or a duo of them for $112 (purchase link under the specs table down below).

If you are on Windows 11 and are running a single 8GB stick, you can get two of them to make it dual channel. There are multiple benefits for going dual channel memory. For example integrated graphics relies on system memory for bandwidth and so that will help immensely. Plus, the processor will also have more bandwidth for itself as it will have to share less with the iGP. Even on a system with dedicated GPU dual channel memory helps as doubling the bandwitdh means the CPU can process data much quicker without them getting stalled by memory, which means the minimums and 1% lows should technically be better in CPU-heavy situations.
On Windows itself, you get the benefit of having large amounts of cached memory and pagefile by doubling your RAM from 8 to 16 GB.
The technical specifications of the G.Skill DDR4 2400 8GB RAM are given in the table below:
