This model is built around Yamaha’s “True Sound” philosophy that essentially combines Dolby Atmos spatial audio with the company’s acoustic expertise to create a room-filling experience that feels more dimensional than a basic stereo bar. Alongwith the main soundbar unit, the wireless external subwoofer is there too, to add the kind of low-end presence that is important in movies as well as in music and games.

The soundbar comes with Yamaha Clear Voice technology which, as the name suggests, enhances human voice and dialogue output. You also have a tone control to fine-tune the bass-treble and an additional Bass Extension feature which promises to deliver a "broader and more muscular" low frequency output. Unfortunately, Yamaha does not mention any specifics related to frequency response.
