Imported my Forza 3 profile and got a nice bunch of cars gifted plus 60,000 credits. Had two races and now been throwing my beloved E39 M5 around the Top Gear track, the sound of its' roaring V8 makes me weak at the knees :laugh:

So much automotive bliss, I love you Turn 10 :wub:

Do you have to do anything special to get it. I have a 2003 530i so I'm dying to get an E39 in the game. I also used to have a 1973 AMC Javelin which they have in the game too.

The Top Gear track is in career mode as I've just found out; one of the events is to knock down pins on the track to gain a certain level of points within one lap.

Nah, it's part of the official car list (not DLC). Fired it up via free play/hot lap and chose the Top Gear track to throw it about.

hey Radish how do you import your Forza 3 profile? maybe i need to look again before asking...

The first time I started it asked me if I wanted to use my Forza 3 profile or create a new one. I had restarted Forza 3 because of a lost hard drive so I didn't get as much as Radish but I got about 20,000 if I remember correctly.

It's like how Ironman273 said, does give you a nice head start if you're already Level 50+ in Forza 3 (Y)

Oh and I freaking love having the Top Gear studio to showcase your garage -

Because I've never done it before.. How do you get your screenshots from your Xbox?

If your upload your screenshots to Forza's storefront via the game, you can login into Forza's website (http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/Default.aspx) with your XBL account. You'll see your screenshots and be able to download them.

The rivals mode in this is really well done and addicting. My complaints about the credit XP from playing in F3 is not a problem in this game!

Only complaint is the pre-order RX-7 unicorn which you pick-up in F3 to import into F4 didn't import. I even deleted the F4 save file and restarted.

Sweet. I haven't dove into the showcase stuff (been tuning and drifting with my team). hahaha but where is the showcase? Oh and to answer the qusetion on how many credits do you get via import? I got 50,000CR.

Been playing the game for a couple of days now. Overall it's good but one thing I hate is start of a race. You're basically given a cut scene with the engine revving, then it goes into the cockpit and you are given about 1 second to get your revs setup for start, way too little time. I usually lose places on the start as don't have enough time to get revs dialed in. This was bad on Forza 3 but I think you've got even less time to do it now on Forza 4.

Play Career > Cars > Change Homespace. You also get the open Top Gear track as a homespace :D I got 60,000CR on importing my Forza 3 profile, which I promptly blew on tuning the E39 M5 with turbochargers and the like :laugh:

I see cues from NFS: Hot Pursuit (2010) (Rivals is kinda like Autolog for competing against others) and PGR4 (cone sprinting) in Forza 4, they are welcome additions (Y)

Well played, Turn 10. You have my money... well, you will. This has been enough to convince me to rent the game tomorrow, if not buy it outright. I imagine there's a lot of fun things that could be done with the E39.

Just buy it, you won't regret it.

I don't wanna buy a wheel just for this game (I use a Driving force GT Lightning for my PC) so my question is; will the xbox joypad be good enough for playing this competitively online?

Is it just me, or does anyone else find the engine sounds a little.. cheap sounding? I thought they were better in F3.

To me they sound more realistic, if you want to truly appreciate the FM4 sounds go listen to the vacuum cleaner cars from GT5 :p

      Not sure there is good value here.... the only real choice is 2GB w/ Controller since 1. 512GB would disappear fast based on today's PC game installs 2. Controller is back ordered until 2027. The appeal of playing PC games on TV (along with PS5) sounds interesting, but I am not too lazy to fire up the huge PC either. Not really sure this would be "worth" it.

      This might work, but the boot menu F12 only shows hdd and dvd+/- and Niks In the bios all usb are enabled. the usb stick is in place and in the boot menu it does not show up in the bios boot order.

      Apple releases iOS 27 Beta 2 for developers and power users by Aditya Tiwari It's been a couple of weeks since Apple previewed the iOS 27 update during the WWDC official keynote. The upcoming iOS version will bring even more refinements to the Liquid Glass design language, an upgraded Siri AI assistant, and several new Apple Intelligence features. Interestingly, the latest WWDC keynote was different than previous years. Apple has released the iOS 27 beta 2 (build 24A5370h) for developers who want to test the new features being baked for the iPhone and optimize their apps. If you're interested in downloading the latest beta, go to Settings > General > Software Update > beta Updates, then choose iOS 27 Developer Beta. You can download the latest iOS 27 beta on more than 30 supported iPhones. Make sure you know what you are doing since developer betas can be unstable and unexpected at times. If you want to be on the safer side, you can wait for the public beta, which will arrive next month. It's been a while since Apple discontinued its AirPort router lineup. Now, the company said in the iOS 27 beta 2 release notes that the AirPort Utility is deprecated and won't be available for new downloads from the App Store. Apple added that if you previously downloaded the app, you can re-download it. However, the functionality isn't guaranteed when using the AirPort Utility on iOS 27 or later. Speaking of known issues, Apple said that the Portrait mode blur effect might render incorrectly for photos; you may be unable to stop an alarm from the lock screen without unlocking your iPhone; the "Add a Control" button in Control Center edit mode might appear small or clipped. There are several new features in iOS 27 beta 2 as well. It comes with Neural Engine improvements for Apple Intelligence, including better performance when loading large models over 1GB.
