Yeah, I don't see a problem with it personally. The scene is meant to evoke an emotional response, and for what it's worth, I think it succeeds.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Fox News gets a hold of this footage and starts ranting about how video games "promote violence against children".

2 years ago that video wouldn't really affect me at all, but since I now have a daughter who is almost 1 my mind starts imaging that scenario happening to her. As messed up as it is its better that the father apparently dies as well.

A bold move overall, as it adds to the realism of warfare for sure. We are so sheltered here in America from stuff like that, so people get up in arms about its depiction despite the fact it happens around the world all the time. Tugs the heartstrings for some of us, and will make me want to exact revenge on whomever planned the bombing.

Anyone that hops on the "video games promote violence" bandwagon is ignorant. Movies and some TV shows are far worse than what's depicted in games like Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. At least video games have more of a stylized look that's obviously different than reality.

Nothing to be scared of.

Me and my friends have ordered 25 keys, of MW3

Its just like you are buying digitally from steam, only difference being that it isn't steam from which you are getting the key.

I, too, was afraid of this at first. But when I read about hundreds of positive comments and testimonies, I went ahead and bought it and I am happy.

You don't have to worry about anything since it'll be a legit key.

You guys need to be careful, sounds like these keys are being generated illegally. If they are not true Steam keys, Steam will figure it out eventually. Once they do they will ban your Steam account without question. My son in his infinite wisdom got a hold of a "generated" steam key for Team Fortress 2, about 6 months of playing Steam caught on and ban him completely and he lost everything. Not worth it.

I probably shouldn't have watched that video. Not really a "spoiler" per se, but still really messed up. Things like that I generally prefer to experience for myself, but I don't know what led up to it, or what happens after, so we'll see. Only have 4 days left.

Agreed. I pre-orded Battlefield 3 a few months ago, then was wise enough to cancel it about a month and a half before release, as I found out the place where I ordered it from (CDKeysHere) got the keys from Russia, and at the time, EA was wielding the banhammer on keys of their games redeemed outside of the USSR. Since then, I went back to waiting for it to come onto Steam, which it will eventually. :p

They are not illegal.

They are brought from the developing company, in this case, it'll be Infinity Ward.

I know a lot of people who buy like this and they have never reported a problem.

If they were illegal, Steam or Origin will not redeem it in the first place

Understand that the algorithm has been cracked for these systems, the keys will be seen as legit. If you are getting these keys for cheap, or before the game is released ect.... then you are taking a chance. How do you know they are from IW? I didnt know you could by direct from them. My son bought a "legit" key but it wasent and it took about 6 months to catch up to him.

just bought it on steam. 60 bucks for a PC game. jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees. i like to be kissed when i'm getting effed GAMING INDUSTRY

Buy it from Amazon you get a $10 credit, digital purchase.

What I'm taking away from after watching that video is that they used a lot of the exact same assests from MW2 in this game. That's pretty bad. I would expect that in an expansion or dlc, not a full fledged entire new game for $60.

my thoughts exactly do but works for me cause I loved that game. I know i'll get a crap ton of hours outta the game so it's worth it for me. There is a lot of tweaks and adjustments that that video doesn't know though to be honest. but i don't entirely disagree with you. can't judge it until i play it of course...

Someone on my friends list has already been playing it since at least yesterday (when I saw him playing it lol). So some people definitely already have copies, and since he has only been playing multiplayer, I'm willing to guess it's quite a few people that already have it.

    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
    • Outlook classic is inherently better than new outlook, for a number of reasons. That said, if the only reason people need office is to read email, they should just use thunderbird.
    • Windows 11 is a big thumbs down from me. I used for a period of a few days while it was in insider and windows 10 was the main OS, and realised it wasn't for me. I am still waiting for Windows to be tolerable again, a shame as at one point I was very pro Microsoft.
    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.
    • Kdenlive 26.04.2 by Razvan Serea Kdenlive is an acronym for KDE Non-Linear Video Editor. It works on GNU/Linux, Windows and BSD. Through the MLT framework, Kdenlive integrates many plugin effects for video and sound processing or creation. Furthermore Kdenlive brings a powerful titling tool, a DVD authoring (menus) solution, and can then be used as a complete studio for video creation. Kdenlive supports all of the formats supported by FFmpeg or libav (such as QuickTime, AVI, WMV, MPEG, and Flash Video, among others), and also supports 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios for both PAL, NTSC and various HD standards, including HDV and AVCHD. Video can also be exported to DV devices, or written to a DVD with chapters and a simple menu. Video editing features: Multi-track editing with a timeline and supports an unlimited number of video and audio tracks. A built-in title editor and tools to create, move, crop and delete video clips, audio clips, text clips and image clips. Ability to add custom effects and transitions. A wide range of effects and transitions. Audio signal processing capabilities include normalization, phase and pitch shifting, limiting, volume adjustment, reverb and equalization filters as well as others. Visual effects include options for masking, blue-screen, distortions, rotations, colour tools, blurring, obscuring and others. Configurable keyboard shortcuts and interface layouts. Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. Project files are stored in XML format. An archiving feature allows exporting a project among all assets into a single folder or compressed archive.
