Reason #4711 why I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

As we who remember the earlier days of the Beatles (getting damn old) it doesn't mean the kids of today know who he is. His last concert for me was back in the mid seventies when he was "Paul McChartney and The Wing."

Don't they have no access to Wikipedia, or Google.

Who is Paul McCartney? Who is Paul McCartney? Who is Paul McCartney? ....

Yeah, not only are they morons, but they're too lazy to do a search? Ugh!

I'm lost here... Because someone claims to not know Paul McCartney you don't want to live on the planet? I'd bet there are a good number of people in my age group and more so for those younger who have heard of the Beatles, but don't know the individual band members.

There are even more who really don't care for the Beatles music so they don't care to know much, if anything, about the band or its members (count me in that group).

I'm not sure why it would be any importance for everyone to have to know who they are...

Ha...this man (and his band) was active at least 30yrs before my existence, yet I still know who he is. So there is not much of an excuse for those folks not to IMO.

Granted I know who the Beatles are, what they did, and know their music, I don't really care for them either.

There are maybe 3-4 songs I like, but they just aren't my type.

My father always argues with me about it, and what they did for "rock" music and what not. But it's not like someone else wouldn't have done it. If Elvis didn't do it, someone else would have, if the Beatles didn't do it, someone else would have, if B. Sabbath or KISS didn't do it, someone else would have, so on and so forth.

The stupidity isn't that they don't know him. It's that it's being done through a medium like Twitter, where the people using it have that information readily available..

Agreed, they can at least google it for god's sake. :)))
