I've used it a few times.. I got Bad Touch, and then Good Touch a few times.. I wish I could get another Bad Touch more to my current level :( Also, at least in the PC version, it seems to bug out a lot of times there.. saying here's the gun, but giving you nothing :(

I got both weapons on my first playthrough but i had to spend a lot more than 40k it seemed. I'm waiting till i'm level 50 before i go get them again on my second playthrough and hope i get at least a level 49 version of each weapon.

Second playthrough is going ok, i have this decent e-tech smg (plasma cutter) which does burn damage and pretty much rips through anything except robots. Even when they have shields. I also have a slag version of it which is handy for some of the bigger enemies. I'm now farming the developer chest and other chests in the hope of getting a decent caustic weapon so i can take on the robots. They're the only things now that i struggle on. Strange really considering my first playthrough, they were the easiest enemies.

I read that on play through 2, you want to ignore as many side quest as possible. Apparently when you hit lvl 50, everything scales up to max. Thus, you will get much better rewards if you wait till total end game to start the side quest. Problem though with that, is the end of the story line is for level 50 characters, and it is hard to level up with the main story line without doing side quest or massive farming in another area. Me and my girl tried to just go through the story line, and we just entered the main base of where Jack is, just after killing his body double. All the robots are level 48+, and me and my girl are still level 43 and 45. Everything is so hard to kill. It takes us about 20 deaths to take out a horde of robots. So if you can skip quest, awesome. If not, you are in for a very frustrating time :p

No kidding. Trying to make money off of codes you get for free.

If you want to really get those codes in the hands of someone, just make a topic and say you will give it out to a random person that needs them. But you most likely will not ever be given money for those codes. The main reason is, you can't tell the code is used until you try it, thus a lot of trust would be needed between you and the buyer, either in giving code first then money, or vise versa. Best to just give them away for free, since in reality, you got them for free.

I disagree, for those who didn't pre-order and did not get the extras and might want them this works. Those people cannot download the specific items yet and can only get a season pass, and I'm offering cheaper than the store will be. So for those able to trust etc, it does work.

What do these shift codes allow one to do?

At the moment, each code allows you to get a Golden Key, which unlocks a golden chest in Sanctuary that contains very rare weapons, which aren't that rare anymore considering how many codes Gearbox and Randy Pitchford have been distributing over the past couple of weeks. :p

But each key only works once.. so once you use it, that's it..

Having a bunch means you can either spread them out, or whatever..

I'm saving them till I need them.. or till I hit the higher levels.. save a few more for expansions when the lvl cap goes up..

What's the point of SHiFT?

I mean, they are giving away codes for keys now, but are they trying to get people to sign up to do something else with it later or is it just that?

This will help explain it: http://www.explosion.com/explaining-gearbox-shift/

This game is more solo friendly due to the fact it is bit easier and the story is much better. Also you can really use any weapon type in the game effectively. BL1 you could use any weapon but if your class wasn't proficient in that type, you'd have a hard time with it.

I've done almost two playthroughs completely solo and not really had any trouble where i think i'd need another player to help. If anything it requires more skill. The only upside to having coop buddies is rare loot is more common in multiplayer.

For my next playthrough with the new mechromancer, i am going to look for some coop buddies to play with though. Just bought a decent headset to do so.

Not sure if it is somehow connected with each other or not... but I had the coolest glitch happen last night.

First, I did the contra code at the start screen. I then went into the game options and enabled "extra wub wub".

Then, I played for about 5 hours. I died a ton of times. Then, as my girlfriend and another friend joined my game, we started back on the story missions. Upon fighting a big group of enemies, I see " Second Wind " flash on my screen, OVER AND OVER. I just thought that my girl was being insanely quick on her Siren revivals at first, but then came to realize. I HAD GOD MODE! I couldn't be killed. I was just standing in all the fights, and every time I would go down, I was instantly revived somehow.

Now, what made this all better, was that I found the " Whiskey Tango Foxtrot " Shield. It is awesome because the shield throws out about 20 grenades that do insane damage, and kill basically anything they explode on, at lvl 49.So grenades were constantly going off, and I could not be killed.

Was honestly a ton of fun too.

I quit the game around 3 in the morning, and after rebooting it, the glitch was not saved to my character, so I'm back to being mortal :p

- PS3 glitch was awesome lol

I spent about 2.5 hours yesterday farming for the Bee shield just so I could solo Terramorphous. Killing it alone was very satisfying.

Also,

Looks like the first campaign DLC is coming soon.

The first Borderlands 2 downloadable expansion, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty, is landing next week on October 16. Associated Press reports the DLC is set in a new area which features the bandit-occupied slums of Oasis. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford described the area as a dried-up landscape "more like Tatooine than an ocean." The Sand Skiff vehicle Pitchford discussed last month also features in the expansion, along with a new currency called "seraph crystals."

I broke down and used the golden key glitch profile. I couldn't get passed the damn entrance to the vault. Only got 3 weapons out of it that I kept.

Helped me get through that area, now I'm back to 0 golden keys. Can hardly wait to play through again :), this time completing all of the side missions.

    • Microsoft updates Visual Studio Code with easier language model discovery and in-app search by Paul Hill Microsoft has released Visual Studio Code 1.125, its latest weekly release. This week, the company has focused on discovering and installing extra language models via the Marketplace; searching the web and securely browsing over remote connections without leaving VS Code; choosing how long VS Code waits before installing extension updates; and delivering managed Copilot settings through existing device management tooling. In older versions of VS Code, extensions could contribute their own model providers, but to find these extensions, you needed the right tags to search for in the Extension view. Now, the Language Models editor gives you an Install Model Providers button that opens the Extensions view, which is filtered to extensions that contribute model providers, making it easier to find and install them. Once you install a provider, its model will appear in the model picker. If you use the integrated browser much, you can now look up information without leaving VS Code by typing a query into the integrated browser’s address bar. It will use your configured search engine, the same way a standalone browser does. You can use workbench.browser.searchEngine to pick a search engine. When the browser is opened in a remote workspace, it's now possible to proxy HTTP(S) traffic via the remote connection. This allows you to connect to any ports or services that can only be accessed from the remote machine. If you read our coverage from two weeks ago about VS Code 1.123, you might have seen that extension updates have a two-hour delay as a safety measure. In this update, Microsoft is giving you the ability to configure the time of the delay. You can find it under extensions.autoUpdateDelay. Finally, with this update, admins can deliver managed GitHub Copilot settings through native device management (MDM) channels on Windows and macOS, in addition to account-based enterprise settings files. Settings delivered via MDM appear as policy-enforced in VS Code and can’t be overridden locally. Future updates will extend the supported policy keys across Copilot surfaces. You can download the update from the Visual Studio Code website now.

    • This is how much iPhone 18 Pro could cost after Apple's price hike confirmed by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed in a recent interview that the company may have to raise prices on some of its products due to the ongoing memory shortage. While he did not elaborate on the scale of the price hikes, new estimates suggest that Pro iPhone models could become significantly more expensive this fall. The Wall Street Journal and research firm TechInsights have come up with an educated estimate of how much the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro could cost after its launch in September. The estimate is based on current increases in memory and storage chip prices. For starters, the iPhone 18 Pro base model is expected to feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. According to TechInsights estimates, 12GB of DRAM for the iPhone 17 Pro cost Apple $39 last year. However, for the iPhone 18 Pro, the cost of the same amount of DRAM could soar to $145. Likewise, 256GB of flash storage that previously cost $13 could now cost around $51. Producing a base iPhone 17 Pro reportedly cost Apple around $582, but TechInsights estimates that the production cost of the iPhone 18 Pro could rise to $726. If Apple wants to maintain the roughly 47% profit margin it enjoys on the iPhone 17 Pro, the base price of the iPhone 18 Pro would need to reach $1,371. After standard pricing adjustments, customers could end up paying around $1,299 for the base model. However, that may not be the end of the story. As we previously reported, the iPhone 18 Pro is said to feature a variable-aperture lens, which could cost Apple at least 50% more than the current camera system. The estimated $1,299 price tag does not include the additional cost of this upgraded camera hardware. Once that expense is factored in, the base model could cost at least $1,399. A $1,399 price tag for the base iPhone 18 Pro would represent a significant increase over the current $1,099 starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro. If Apple wants to keep its upcoming iPhones competitive, it may need to accept lower profit margins.
