Maybe this is just me but after installing Windows 8 Consumer build 8250 i ran into some weird happenings. I was unable to upload my flickr pictures without using the basic uploader, then when I tried to play some times wasting games in Facebook the content would not load whatsoever.

For the flickr issue I am able to click the "Choose files to upload" but nothing happens, no box allowing me to choose the files in explorer appears and nothing happens. I have tired with adblock on and adblock off and it makes no difference. Also when trying to play games within facebook. The games do not load or nothing appears.

Its like as if the adblock is on but there is no adblock on. When right clicking it shows that the flash plugin/extension is running but not the product. This only started when i installed windows 8 consumer. The developer build did not have the issue. I also have tried Chrome, Firefox, and Internet explorer and all errors/issues are reproduced.

I have the latest versions of IE, and Chrome. Not to mention the latest versions of the flash plugin for both IE and Chrome. . .

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you in Full IE or Metro IE? If i recall Metro IE has no support for flash.

Currently I am in Explorer, I do not use the metro apps, soo I suppose I don't use IE in metro.

I also have the same issues even in this forum trying to upload photos or attachments within this forum because it uses flash.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
