thanks, i have no clue what any of that means but ill email it to my host and see what the problem might be. But for those that are having problems, Oldecrow is going to be hosting the skin also, so you can get it at his website

something strange with this style, it never worked here, caused StyleXP to hang.

but i opened up the msstyles in stylebuilder, and in each color scheme some .bmp files are missing :s

very weird :(

this is the error i get, i copied this from the 'send error report' function. error is with all color schemes :s

StyleBuilder Version 1.020000An error occurred while loading the 'C:\RX\Blue.xml' color scheme.D:\Source\TGTSoft\Themes\StyleBuilder\ColorScheme.cpp( 189) : 0xC0040023The Blue color scheme contains errors.The style cannot compile until the color scheme is fixed.D:\Source\TGTSoft\Themes\StyleBuilder\ColorScheme.cpp( 582) : 0xC004001AThe file 'C:\RX\Blue\GroupBox.bmp' does not exist.D:\Source\TGTSoft\Themes\StyleBuilder\ColorScheme.cpp( 641) : 0xC0040007

i don't know how many times i have to stress this. I have said it here over and over, its in two of the headings of my website and gush wouldn't you know it, its also in a file call readme.txt that is in the zip file that people download the theme in.

so for the last time...

this style does not work with stylexp, you must use the DISPLAY PROPERTY DIALOG it works perfectly fine with that.

I have e-mailed the lazy a$$ people that made styleXP and styleBuilder like 3 times about this problem and they never seem to email me back with anything useful. I tried fixing the problem by rebuilding this build from scratch using the Luna template but it did not fix it, So i came to a conclusion that is not my Style that is having a problem, its StyleXP.

sorry AgonitE i don't mean to sound rude or that im picking on you, but its just that i get a bunch of email about this and i keep reapeting my self and people don't bother and read the post or the files that are with the skin.

Anyway about the error that StyleBuilder gives you. Again StyleBuilder is also a buggy a$$ program made by the same lazy a$$ people at TGTsoft so its no suprice that it can't keep up with the new things that people discover about the Msstyle Skin Format.

But anyway enough about me bitching about TGTsoft, its doing that because I made it so it does that. The reason i did that is because alot of people go around editing the theme then when they compile it they notice that the Compact Start Menu is gone and that sometimes it does not compile correctly and they end up with a corrupted msstyle. Then ones that happens guess who they email and b!tch to because their system becomes unusable?

Well i though if i do this then those people will get an error upon importing the theme which should stop them from messing around with it. And in the end their system does not get all black and stuff because of a corrupted theme.

Sweet, finally something new to use beside Chaninja's styles.. awesome work, especially the Onyx style.

Noticed two bugs (?), not really sure though..

1) If a window is active and you hover on the minimize button, a dark line will appear above the button

2) Image below..

Agreed, I'm quite anal.. :)

 How on earth did you see that line. I sat here for like 20 mins wondering what you were talking about. And i had to pull out that magnifier that comes with XP in order to see it.

and my services tabs aren't being skinned for some reason.

Monkey edited the XML file so people can't import it into stylebuilder. Friggin lame... He's afraid that some lamer will try to pass off this theme as their own and his penis will get smaller (or whatever else his excuse is), but has it ever occured to him that lots of people want to mod the theme for their own personal use? I'm not saying it's a bad theme, but everyone has different tastes, and would like to mod the theme so it suits them well.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
