I dont get why the mods keep taking down the links. Winamp betas ALWAYS leak, do you think thats really by accident? Nullsoft doesnt care, why should you.

actually, yeah, they do mind (at least they have in the past), to some extent. AOL cares more, though. I'd recommend not putting up links, for the sake of NeoWin.

Winamp5 will come out soon enough, trust me :)

P.S. - Winamp will stay free, duh. There won't be nagging for the Pro version. It just includes, as mentioned prior, the CD burning and ripping that can't be included in the free version because of licensing costs. If they could be, they would be; Nullsoft is just give the Average Joe user the ability to rip and burn music if he/she wants to, users that don't know what LAME is, and don't care for that matter. LAME isn't legally allowed to be compiled, anyway, because of the patent o MP3, which is why NUllsoft can't include it. Give the Nullsoft guys more credit - their mindset is to give the user cool stuff for free, if possible; they aren't trying to skim money off the top from users.

The Alpha was a little buggy... but the beta is great.

I'm happy with it anyways.

nothng to note except for the new skinning mode which takes ages to load :( however it loads quickly in 2.x skinning mode :).they still use peter's directsound output plugin :angry: looks like they are not gonna update it :( so winamp5 = winamp2.95+3.x skinning
