Am I the only one that doesn't like or use smooth scrolling in web browsers?!?

To be honest, I expected a little more than that. On MacOS it looks much nicer than on Windows.

Well, there's a reason on why it's not activated by default on Windows yet, only ChrOS and Linux and OS X have it by default atm. One enhancement that is coming to the Windows version is that it actually uses the title bar color on Windows 10 (https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=505013) and with Aero Glass making a comeback in RS1 (don't quote me on that), it will also use transparency and therefore looking like the OS X version anyway.

Metro themed stuff isn't in 50?

You can enable it through about:flags but it will be enabled in Chrome 51. You can test it, in Chrome 51 Beta currently.

In Chrome 50.0.2661.94 m (or before), it looks like they changed the notification wave in a pinned tab (or whatever it is called when what looks like a ray of light rolls right to left in a pinned tab) is a much darker tone than before, which makes it more difficult to notice. Anyone knows how to increase its brightness? TIA.

    • I spent a good 15 min today trying to get new Outlook to use my default browser instead of forcing links into Edge. That kinda tactic is shady and it sucks.
    • Vivaldi 8.0.4033.42 by Razvan Serea Vivaldi is a cross-platform web browser built for – and with – the web. A browser based on the Blink engine (same in Chrome and Chromium) that is fast, but also a browser that is rich in functionality, highly flexible and puts the user first. A browser that is made for you. Vivaldi is produced with love by a founding team of browser pioneers, including former CEO Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner, who co-founded and led Opera Software. Vivaldi’s interface is very customizable. Vivaldi combines simplicity and fashion to create a basic, highly customizable interface that provides everything a internet user could need. The browser allows users to customize the appearance of UI elements such as background color, overall theme, address bar and tab positioning, and start pages. Vivaldi features the ability to "stack" and "tile" tabs, annotate web pages, add notes to bookmarks and much more. • Also try installing an alternative browser on ChromeOS. You have to enable dev mode and run it as a Linux app. Clunky.
    • sometimes in older bios' you had to set a password in order to change the csm settings
    • I've enjoyed Firefoxx64 DE for many years, and Edge doesn't tempt me, and I stopped using Chrome long ago--far too many bugs.
