someone trying to turn a buck from a marvel series into a TV show. It didn't look that good.

"someone"? That someone is Joss Whedon who made the Avengers. He also made Dollhouse, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and he's currently working on Avengers 2. So yeah, he's not just someone who's trying to make a buck from a Marvel series (not sure what you mean by that since this is an original show and not based off of any comic book or whatever), lol :p

According to TV Line, David Conrad (Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami) has landed a recurring role in ABC's highly anticipated television series Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., which premieres Tuesday, September 24th at 8 PM EST. As expected, details on his role are being kept under lock and key, and we don't know which episode will be his debut on the show. But the site adds, "the show has been casting the role of a brilliant and quirky scientist that matches Conrad?s description (i.e., male in his 40s)."

EW report that Ian Hart will be joining Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D in a recurring role. The site don't reveal which character he'll play, but do say that he will be a scientist -- while also divulging a little more info on the show's apparent "unwritten rule": "All super-powers introduced on the show must be explained by science ? not magic or supernatural forces." That narrows down any cameos from certain Marvel characters fans might have been expecting to see! Hart will be best know to Harry Potter fans as Professor Quirrel, but he is a veteran of British and Irish film and television, and has most recently appeared on US screen in the likes of A&E?s Bates Motel, HBO?s Luck, and FX?s Dirt.

^I'm betting life model decoy. The blood made it pretty clear that it was a living thing :p I also don't think the latter could keep someone from dying after such a devastating shot.

Well even The Terminator bled. Just saying.

Channel 4 picks up UK rights to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Channel 4 has acquired the UK premiere broadcast rights to ??Marvel?s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?, the hotly anticipated new series from Marvel Television and ABC Studios. The series will premiere on Channel 4 in autumn, soon after its launch on the ABC network in the US.

??Marvel?s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?, is Marvel?s first live-action television series about the worldwide law enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Behind the production is US producer, director and co-writer Joss Whedon, creator of the series ?Buffy, the Vampire Slayer?, ?Angel?, ?Dollhouse? and director of the movie ?Marvel?s Avengers Assemble?.

Clark Gregg (?Marvel?s Iron Man? and ?500 Days of Summer?) returns in his role of Agent Phil Coulson from feature film ?Marvel?s Avengers Assemble.? Coulson assembles a small, highly select group of Agents to investigate the new, the strange and the unknown from across the globe protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton ? ?Blue Bloods?, ?Army Wives?), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen ? ?ER?, ?Eureka?), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker ? ?The Fades?, ?In Fear?), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge ? ?Hollyoaks?, ?Shelter?), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet ? ?Nashville?, ?Intercept?).

Channel 4 Chief Creative Officer, Jay Hunt says; "Like the Super Hero universe from which it has come, ?Marvel?s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? is big, bold and absolutely exhilarating. Featuring the production values you?d expect from Marvel and ABC Studios, this is family entertainment at its most exciting.?

Catherine Powell, SVP & GM, Media Distribution, The Walt Disney Company, EMEA : "This stand-out series has universal appeal with the excitement and thrilling action we have come to expect from Marvel, brought to life by a superb cast playing fantastic characters. It's terrific news for viewers that "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is launching on Channel 4."

    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
