I am all for science but with the very real possibility that our understanding of the universe may be turned up side down on its head at any moment doesn't make heaven any less real if we can't prove it exists by our scientific standards.

Science does not work this way, it's almost always evolutionary and only sometimes revolutionary. And heaven is a piece of fantasy depicted by people unwilling to surrender to (or to accept) the simple truth of the death.

This is a serious question, all joking aside, what kind of experiment would you purpose?

I wouldn't purpose anything, because I have no respect for the opinions about this fantasy illusion called "heaven" - well, except in fantasy novels, maybe. If you can't prove it, it's your opinion not a fact.

23 Minutes in Hell

An interesting read even if you don't believe in God or afterlife.

I saw that on onkneesforjesus, Too funny

He claims to have been escorted by an unknown female companion and says he communicated with these beings through a method of correspondence that transcended language.

So, just before waking up he had a wet dream. Sounds like heaven to me

Settle down everyone.

Heaven can be proved, reliably and consistently.

Take some LSD and you will get the same effect.

"You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever."

"You have nothing to fear."

"There is nothing you can do wrong."

Sounds like the kind of crazy nonsense a person would say to themselves before detonating a suicide bomb in a busy public place, or perhaps in a queue outside an Apple store.

I believe in heaven and hell, but for a doctor of all people to have had a brain fart and THEN to believe it was real, dampens my faith in doctors

Not that everyone on here will believe anything, but if you watch this you can see a bit of Hell

Both Hell and Heaven are real. As I said before we live in a bubble that consists of time and space and there are many dimensions.

Hell was really made for Lucifer which was God's highest Angel and rebelled against God because he thought he was so great and he took some of his Angels with him (which you know as Demons).

Heaven was made mainly for people who believe in God, beyond that we know nothing.

Most Atheists won't believe in any of this because it's not scientific proof, but that only measures the natural world and there is more than the natural world out there, so they are looking for something they are never going to find.

It's like trying to find a coin in the snow, but you go to the desert to find it. It just doesn't make sense.

I am not against science here either, only just telling it like it is.

Sounds good, Cant wait to meet and thank Satan for freeing us.

all knowing fail.

Heaven was made mainly for people who believe in God

Including child molesters, serial rapists and genocidal warlords.

Choice is now all all knowing fail? So, because God gives choices to beings that God failed? No Lucifer failed. He made the wrong choice.

Including child molesters, serial rapists and genocidal warlords.

Nobody said that they are going unpunished. Everyone is getting judged for what they did down here. However, no matter how many times you are told, you fail to understand that.

That's not my problem that you FAIL to understand simple concepts.

And of course he publishes a book! Got to make money off that experience. Yup.

Because everyone who has an experience can't be trusted because they happen to make books.

So almost all books about any subject should now be thrown out.

Way to be on the side of simple minded skepticism. I am okay with question everything, but there are far too many cases of this to just dismiss it because you don't like what they are saying.

It's ok. Shinji will save us from the third impact and the angels.

Omnipotence and free will defeated in 4 easy steps:

1. God is all powerful. He can choose A or B.

2. God is all knowing. He knows he's going to choose A.

3. He cannot choose B otherwise point 2 is false.

4. He has to choose A which means point 1 is false.

This is hilarious.

"You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever."

Talk about cheesy. Straight from a hallmark card.

"You have nothing to fear."

Think he forgot to mention the "We come in peace! Take us to your leader earth clan."

"There is nothing you can do wrong."

Well I can think of a few things lol.

Sadly you would think a brain surgeon would know enough to understand the chemistry of the human brain and what happens when it is in a deprived state.

I have yet to come across an afterlife experience, where a person visited hell.

I have one for you... The person who went to Hell is Bill Weiss. Check out his testimony on being there

. It is a Christian testimony, but you did say you had never heard of anyone going to Hell, this guy did!

Nonsense.. you're just telling it like someone else told you it would be... We've had thousands of gods and concepts of afterlife over the thousands of years of man.. i would question the sanity of someone who claims their beliefs trumps them all.

lolwhat?

That looks like a math word problem. You know, Peter has to go to school. He can either go by bus or his car.... Don't know how's that proves anything.

okay lets see:

1. Who say's He can't choose both or neither A nor B and go with C instead. :D

2. If He's choosing A, it's because He knows A is the right thing to choose and He won't be needing B.

3. He can (see 1) but He won't (see 2).

4. He doesn't have to do anything, being all powerful. He chose A with His free will, and not B because He is all knowing.

Plus, I think the statement "has to choose is" is a paradox because if you have to do something, you don't have a choice.

No, the point is valid. You cannot be omnipotent and omniscient with free will. Knowing everything means that the destiny of every living organism is already mapped out.

This is honestly the only type of proof we are going to get to prove there is a after life. If you think about it, if this world is a virtual world like in the Matrix, when you die, you just get unplugged.

i remember once my parish priest at mass used the matrix movie as an analogue to our world and life before we realize who god is: the source of our life. until that moment, all are experiences are virtual, we do not realize their true significance. when we realize it, we see that we must awake from our illusion and find god.

fyi

MINA El Houari had been planning their first date for weeks. The 25-year-old from Cadenet in southeast France had for several months been chatting with the handsome suitor from Morocco.

Keen for a boyfriend, Ms El Houari must have seen romantic promise in their online friendship ? enough to buy a plane ticket and fly to the North African nation to meet him in person.

Keen for a boyfriend, Ms El Houari must have seen romantic promise in their online friendship ? enough to buy a plane ticket and fly to the North African nation to meet him in person.

She arrived in Fez, Morocco?s third largest city, on May 19 and booked herself into a five-star hotel before heading out to meet her date, according to regional daily La Provence.

But the evening was about to take a disastrous turn: Within hours, Ms El Houari would be buried alive in the man?s backyard, slowly suffocating to death.

The man, who has not been named, told police that the evening was going well until Ms El Houari suddenly and inexplicably keeled over and collapsed.

Believing she had dropped dead, the man says he went into a panic about how to dispose of her body. He decided to bury her in his back garden, claiming he was in such a rush that he failed to realise she was still breathing.

It later emerged that Ms Houari was an undiagnosed diabetic and had been in a diabetic coma when she was placed in the makeshift grave.

The man said nothing of the tragedy and nobody was any the wiser. Ms El Houari?s relatives, however, smelt a rat, filing a missing persons report to Moroccan police after they were unable to contact her, even flying to Fez to search for her.

After speaking with the El Houari family, police interviewed the man over her disappearance and raided his home.

They found muddy trousers and a shovel before unearthing the gruesome crime scene.

The man reportedly confessed and has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

A suburban Philadelphia sixth-grader has died weeks after he suffered injuries in a fight at school, as authorities probe whether he may have been bullied.
Family members say Bailey O'Neill died after being taken off life support Sunday morning, a day after he turned 12.
He had suffered a concussion, a broken nose and other injuries during the encounter with another boy at Darby Township School, in suburban Philadelphia, on Jan. 10. He later began having seizures, and doctors induced a coma.
Bailey told his mother, Jina Risoldi, that he had been at recess when the boy, who was taller, challenged him to a fight.
Risoldi said last month that her son declined to fight, saying he was worried about being suspended. She said a boy then pushed him from behind and he was struck in the head about five times.
