He will now. He used a .22 and if we followed U.K standards he still could of got his hands on a .22 and did the same thing..

The difference is our culture doesnt glorify guns so if this was in the UK he probably wouldn't have had a .22 in the first place.

But people do own .22's there even shotguns, if I remember a year or so back a chap went on a killing spree with a shotgun.

This is wrong on so many levels i don't even know where to begin.

It makes it way too easy to kill your gf. Let's say i want to kill my gf (i don't of course). If i'm the owner of the house (which i curently am) i just have to tell my gf to leave. Of course she wont leave why would she leaves? She will say "WTF is wrong with you today?". Then i'll just shot here for not leaving my house.

It is considered an important right in Canada to. I don't know where comes the impression that Canadians don't own firearms and don't like them. My dad owns 5 riffles and i'll probably be the owners of them soon. We just don't carry them or load them for no reason. Few people have loaded firearms ready to be used in their house in Canada (it's illegal to have them loaded). Legally they have to be unloaded and stored in a closed cabinet requiring a key to open. If you carry them they have to be unloded and in a case. You can load them only when you are about to legally use them to hunt or fire at a practice stand. Of course it makes them harder to use if someone invade your house but you also have the time to think before using them on your gf over a Walking Dead argument ;)

Having seen a few episodes of Doomsday Preppers I'm surprised this doesn't happen more. Paranoia and easy access to weapons doesn't make for a happy outcome. Guys like this need to turn off the TV once in a while and take a walk.

I'm not saying it's a gun issue. Canadians have just as many (if not more) guns but they're not afraid of their own shadows. Of course now that I've said that there'll probably be a Canadian Preppers show...

Yeah but 'joe public' doesn't have access to them, in the UK you need a valid reason to own one as well as stringent police checks and gun safes, etc....

We don't get ours as prizes or free with bank accounts, and we can't just walk into a shop and buy one.

Oh I see you're trying to bring up michael moores bowling for columbine, to bad that scene where he went into a bank and got the rifle was staged. Don't believe me look it up. Secondly you can't just go into a store and buy one. You have to pass a background check first and then the government gives a yes or no and believe it or not there are many that get denied.

Yeah it was staged, for any other person they wouldn't have gotten it on the spot, plus background checks still have to be performed, its still illegal to give guns to felons bank account or not.

The fact is in the UK you need a valid reason other than "i want one" or "home defense", they send police out to make sure the gun safe is adequately bolted to the floor/wall and hidden, even then you aren't guaranteed the licence even if you are mr squeaky clean never broke the law, no points on driving licence, not in debt, never missed a bill payment.

So your "this could have happened in the UK" is nonsense.

What he said. Killing sprees over here are incredibly rare because of how hard it is to obtain the kind of weapons you need to facilitate them. In America they're becoming more commonplace because you people never learn.

The Indian company is a manufacturing partner of both Apple and Tesla, and the incident may have exposed some trade secrets belonging to the two American companies. The World Leaks ransomware group is said to be behind the attack, and it has reportedly posted up to 200,000 files on the dark web, including component designs and specification documents related to Apple and Tesla products. Tata Electronics told Reuters that its response protocols were deployed immediately and that the “incident has had no impact on our operations across businesses, which remain unaffected.” The ransomware group reportedly sent a ransom demand to Tata Electronics, while Apple has launched an investigation into the incident. World Leaks claims it stole more than 200,000 files totaling over 630GB from Tata Electronics. Some database files on the ransomware group’s website are titled "com.apple.factorydata," which could refer to Apple’s iPhone production operations in India. Moreover, some documents reportedly contain material specifications and quality inspection standards for iPhone circuit board components. However, Apple is not the only affected company. A folder found in the World Leaks database is titled "NV36 Chargeport Controller - North America," which may refer to Tesla Model Y components. Additionally, other files in the database reportedly contain drawings related to Tesla’s Project Highland, the internal codename for the EV maker’s updated Model 3 sedan. To support the authenticity of the stolen files, World Leaks has published documents containing footers that read: "This document contains proprietary and confidential information of Apple Inc." and "information contained herein is deemed confidential, proprietary, and a trade secret of Tesla Inc." Cybersecurity researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia told Reuters that the database also contains emails, event logs spanning several years, and passport copies of employees, including foreign nationals.       Epic fail, should've added an eSata port on the back, also if the memory/NVME are soldered then they're hardly gonna sell any, first thing most people do with their Steamdeck is, or used to be, replacing the NVME with a 2TB one. At that price they should, possibly for the first time, offer an installments option, say 24 months, they may sell a lot if they do. I'm sure they would have no shortage of credit companies willing to partner.
