btw, it just happend!

 

with todays very impressive victory vettel passed alonso in the list and is now 4th with 33 wins (compared to alonsos 32 wins). next stop: senna with 41 wins. :D

Hnnnnnggffhh... What? Oh the race is finished? Did I miss anything? No? Oh good. I guess I must have drifted off.

Driver of the day - Jean Alesi for the over-the-top hugs on the podium.

Reject of the race - Pastor Maldonado and Romain Grosjean both failed to hit anyone so no RotR today.

OK so I need to change the Driver of the Day to Raikkonen for a +10 place gain while on drugs, but basically the same post. Maybe give Ricciardo RotR, not sure.

 

What. A. Snoozefest.

webber is such a crybaby (like fernando is). posting pictures of the 80s and early 90s when rules were different wont matter.

why arent webber and alonso taking any strong stance against the vettel booing (one of the most disgusting things ive ever seen in this sport) is beyond me.

You're right, why are top sportsmen not saying anything when their rivals get bad PR? Gee, I dunno. I don't agree with "fans" booing the race winner, but I also don't expect any of his rivals to make a deal out of it; Red Bull will do that themselves.

I'm liking Lotus more after their tweets.

 

While i think it is silly for the reprimand and Webber getting the grid place penalty. I think a slap on the wrist would have worked.

F1 rules sometimes are really strict in a ridiculous way. It was however pretty dangerous. I'm sure Alonso could have gone into the run off area to pick him up.

 

 

Also i'm sure Webber gave Alonso a ride back to the pits a couple of years ago. Can't remember what race. It was because Alonso ran out of fuel.

Cars used to rejoin the track from the pits on the outside of turn one, leaving them vulnerable if a car entering the corner had to run wide.

 

This year the pit lane exit will run through the turn one run-off area, moving the flow of pit exit traffic further away from the racing line.

 

Other improvements have also been made to the track, mainly to the run-off areas and exit kerbs.

 

Last year Lewis Hamilton?s race was spoiled when a large piece of artificial grass became attached to his car. According to the FIA the material has been replaced at turns one, three, ten, thirteen and fifteen with a ?more hard-wearing product?.

 

Asphalt has been applied to the verges at some corners to make the run-off spaces more durable. And ?sausage? kerbs have been installed at turns four, five, nine, eleven, thirteen and fourteen to discourage corner-cutting.

Sauber considering Rubens Barrichello for 2014 Formula 1 seat

 

Sauber team principal Monisha Kaltenborn has admitted Rubens Barrichello is on the team's shortlist of potential 2014 Formula 1 drivers.

 

She insisted speculation that the Brazilian could return to the F1 fold for this year's Brazilian Grand Prix was wide of the mark but kept the door open for next season.

 

Barrichello, 41, has made the most grands prix starts in history at 322. Although he left the sport after losing his Williams seat at the end of the 2011 season, he has insisted previously that F1 is not a closed chapter.

 

Asked whether Barrichello was in the frame for 2014, Kaltenborn said: "There are a couple of options out there.

 

"We know what he [barrichello] has is experience. He would like to come back, so let's see.

 

"I always have to give you the same answer - we will [make announcements] in due course."

 

Kaltenborn did however rule out speculation that Barrichello could return in time for his home grand prix, which brings this year's championship to a close on 24 November.

 

Asked if she expected Sauber to retain its current line-up to the end of the year, she said: "Absolutely. I don't see any possibility there.

 

"We have no reason to change our two drivers for that race."

 

After dropping out of F1, Barrichello spent a single season in IndyCar before switching to Brazil's domestic Stock Car V8 series this year.

Red Bull F1 team boss Horner hits out at traction control suggestions

 

Red Bull boss Christian Horner has hit back at talk his team has been running some form of illegal traction control.

 

Sebastian Vettel's dominance of the Singapore Grand Prix has prompted speculation - fuelled by comments made by former team boss Giancarlo Minardi about the sound of the car - that Red Bull could be breaking the rules.

 

But Horner has said his team does not take such suggestions seriously, and thinks any outfit that tried to run traction control would be crazy.

 

"You would be fairly stupid to introduce traction control on to a car that is governed on a single ECU, which is done through a tender of the FIA and which is scrupulously checked by the FIA," said Horner.

 

"So, I cannot image any team in the pit lane would do it."

 

Horner reckons that the emergence of the claims owes more to rivals needing to find an explanation as to just why Vettel and Red Bull were so quick in the last race.

 

"I think the problem is that Sebastian's performance was so dominant in Singapore , it will inevitably raise questions of how is that possible," he explained.

 

"Other teams will be looking inwardly and the easiest conclusion to come to is that they [Red Bull] must be cheating.

 

"But these things are so tightly controlled that it is impossible. The facts are he drove an incredible race in Singapore. He had incredible pace.

 

"He maximised the most out of the car, and was a driver at absolute peak form. Is it [traction control talk] a distraction? No. Will we lose any sleep over it? Absolutely not."

 

Vettel himself also brushed off talk of his outfit doing anything illegal, and said that any clever engine mapping his team used was something he and his team should be praised for.

 

"We are pretty proud of the system we have because other people will never figure out how we've done it," he said. "Constantly we try to improve the car. That's part of the homework that we have to do."

 

ALONSO UNCONCERNED ABOUT RED BULL NOISES

 

Fernando Alonso, who is Vettel's main rival in the championship, said that hearing strange noises from the Renault engines in Singapore was nothing new.

 

"I think the different engine noise has been there all year with Red Bull," he said. "It's true that in Singapore it's maybe more obvious because it's a street circuit and people can watch in the corners.

 

"But if you went to the winter tests in Barcelona, in the corners, the Red Bull had a different sound. So they are using something different compared to the other teams, but it's something that is completely okay [legal].

 

"They pass all the checks in the races on Saturday and Sunday so they are completely okay and it's up to us to do a better job and to maximise the potential."

      In some countries the law has forced Microsoft to display a menu on a fresh install of Windows which asks which web browser you want and it will install that browser. This doesn't add any bloat to Windows. It simply an additional step when setting up a new PC.

      Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily evolving the Windows Insider Program over the years, introducing new channels and testing paths that allow enthusiasts to experience upcoming and yet-to-be-released Windows features (some interesting hidden ones too) before they reach the public. However, one long-standing requirement has remained largely unchanged as users are generally expected to enroll in the Program and with a Microsoft account. That's where a third-party tool called "OfflineInsiderEnroll" can help. OfflineInsiderEnroll is said to be a lightweight script that enables access to Windows Insider Program builds on systems that are not signed in with a Microsoft account. Essentially the tool configures the necessary Insider settings locally and hence allows users to select and switch between available preview channels while continuing to receive builds through the normal Windows Update channel. If you are wondering how it manages to do so, it is made possible by a Registry value known as TestFlags. When configured to"0x20", Windows stops communicating with Microsoft's online Insider enrollment services thus preventing locally configured Insider settings from being overwritten. This allows the script to apply its own channel configuration directly through the Registry as Windows Update does not verify whether a device has been officially enrolled in the Insider Program or not. Previously the utility has had already supported the traditional Insider branches including Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. However following Microsoft’s recent restructuring of its preview channels, the script has now been updated. The latest OfflineInsiderEnroll version, 2.6.6, adds support for the newly introduced Insider channel lineup. As such, users can now choose from several Experimental channels in addition to Beta and Release Preview options. The update also retains tools for refreshing the Insider cache, resetting Insider settings, and completely stopping Insider enrollment when needed. Keep in mind though that will need elevated privileges when running the script (run as Admin). You can get the latest version of OfflineInsiderEnroll from this page on its official GitHub repo.

      The "Classic" Outlook has done that for a few years as well. The option to even change that is really hidden away too... It really shouldn't be hard to respect user defaults. Sadly we are the product now, not Outlook. To change in the Classic Outlook: File > Options > Advanced > change "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in"
