Bigfoot is in Oregon, according to a number of reports from local residents in the area.

People living near the Indian reservation have reported that they have been woken up by strange sounds coming from the nearby forest. They have described the noise as like roaring and screeching, which they say sounds nothing like anything they've ever heard before from the local wildlife.

The Indian reservation is 178,000 acres in the Blue Mountains, and it is believed there are about 1,500 residents living in or next to the reservation area. The reports of the strange noises have come from a number of residents living near an old reservation community center just north of Wildhorse Resort and Casino.

According to reports, the noises first started last month, and sparked rumors among locals that it was a young Bigfoot separated from its mother.

Residents have described the noises as frightening, and even the grown men in the area are reportedly very apprehensive to go out when the sounds are heard, according to The Oregonian.

One resident told the publication that his dog refused to go out for a walk because it was so terrified of the noises.

However, there are as usual many skeptics to the rumors of the Bigfoot being around. Some in the local community believe the Bigfoot rumors are ridiculous and that the noises are more likely to be from a fox or coyote.

Bigfoot, also known as sasquatch, is the name given to an ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. The term sasquatch is an anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word s?sq'ets.

Many scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax rather than an actual living animal.

They have pointed to the lack of physical evidence, and the large numbers of creatures that would be necessary to maintain a breeding population.

^ I guess it depends on the noise. And this is a traditional sasquatch area.

And this is a 'new' noise in the area, apparently.

People are not accustomed to hearing it.

I have heard the recordings of the genuine 'Bigfoot'.

They are bizarre and unnerving.

Analysis of these recordings say that the sounds could not be made by a human, and don't fit in with known animals.

That does not mean Bigfoot, though. It could be a lost or unknown specie. Or maybe a exotic pet turned loose. It could be a lot of things.

^ True -- and the unknown species is what sasquatch is. ;)

Pics or nothing. Evidence is key.

There have been pics -- which are most always derided as 'fake'.

Not many people are going to brave the night, in unfamiliar country, to take a flash picture of a potentially dangerous creature.

You volunteering ... ?

Analyze the singing voice of T-Pain and you'll conclude that the sounds could not have been made by a human, and doesn't fit in with known animals...

Love it. My fake evidence is evidence of my claim.

Umm. Biologists, zoologists, botanists, David Attenborough, and drunken hunters do it all the time.

If bigfoot existed, Ted Nugent would have it hanging on his wall by now.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
