Best "budget" over-the-ear headphones?

I'm looking for some new over-the-ear headphones. My budget is ~$30-40, though I don't really want to go any higher than $40. I say $40 because I have a tendency to buy headphones that don't fit comfortably and I end up going back to earbuds. I also want to buy from Amazon (gift cards). I just want good sound with decent bass for gaming and casual listening on the metro. I've been reading reviews for the Monoprice 8323, but those are currently $34 and I've seen them as low as $24. I've narrowed my list down to the following, but I am open to other suggestions:

Sennheiser HD 202 II - $25.98

JVC HARX700 - $31.99

Monoprice 8323 - $34.13

Audio-Technica ATH-M30 - $40.60

Audio technica and seinheisser would by my opinion. Though for bass I think JVC would be your best bet.

Sennheisers in that range are meh. You'll be better off even buying a brand like Skullcandy.

JVC HA-RX700 reporting. Unclear highs (and not easy to regain), booming bass (but not bad), very good at this price point. Have served me over 3 years now.

However, the headband is uncomfortably tight. I've tried to stretch it several times leaving on the computer's case for a whole day and it just wouldn't do.

If I increased my budget to $50, would that net me better headphones? I'm not an audiophile so I don't need amazing headphones, but I'd like something better than my cheap Panasonic RP-HTX7-G1's.

I've used the JVC's for a couple years and i think they're quite good for gaming and music for the price. Can be a little warm to use in the summer though.

I don't have that problem with mine. If anything they had that new headphone snugness that wore off after a while of use.

Well, gaming headsets and headphones always differ, games have very highs ( bullets, ricochets, leaves, vocals), whereas for music, it's a more all-round. check these out too:

I actually checked those out earlier. I think I may just wait, save up some extra money, and hope to catch a more premium headphone on sale.
