What's this even got to do with Kinect? Just because Kinect is there, doesn't mean it should be shoe-horned in to every game for the sake of it.

This is one of the biggest games for the XB1 and if it doesn't support Kinect then one has to question whether Kinect should be bundled with the XB1 or sold separately to lower the price, as that would make the console a lot more competitive with the PS4.

As for the sales increase, it would be interesting to see whether the increase is mirrored in other territories or is directly related to the UK price drop of the XB1.

Kinect isn't "just there". It's the main reason Xbox is $100 more. So yes, it's not much to expect this $100 feature to be a part of many games, at least the ones touted as GOTY.

I've got to respectfully disagree with you both on this. There's little to no point in forcing it in to every game just because it is there.

I agree, but then again:

Kinect 2: one of the biggest features of Xbox One.

Titanfall: one of the biggest games for Xbox One.

Clearly Kinect isn't as big of a feature as MS wants people to think, which means they screwed up badly including it. Or they're just following their nonsense plan of "if you include it, developers will come".

You got me wrong this time, I'm not flaim baiting but almost 100% more sales due to one game that's fun to play..seems a bit over the top for me. Maybe it's just me tho.

I purchased my PS4 a lot earlier than I wanted to because I love inFamous... And wanted to play it early.

I had no plans on picking up a PS4 until about late 2014, or early 2015... I said why the heck not...

I do see where you chaps are coming from but i'd prefer games that use connect to make good use of it rather than "Sod it, let's squeeze something in there for the sake of it".

I do like the way BF4 uses it mind you, the peek round the corner has saved me on many occasions. :p

It sounds like indie devs are using it (check out the new ID@Xbox thread).

I'd seen a preview of Fru before hand, which is avery interesting take on things. Let's be honest, it's the Indies that are going to sit down and really push this tech while the AAA's will churn out the same incarnations of "looking around"

I used that about a week ago, really cool way of implementing it. My roommate didn't know why I was moving at first.

I saw some and it looks very promising.

I haven't had any party chat issues. Been working flawlessly here. Campaign is just online matches of hardpoint and attrition. There isn't any difficulty. They just through in some audio/video dialog.

As for AI, they seem the same to me as they were in the beta. But I could be wrong.

I know there isn't a difficult in any multiplayer matches, they just "seem" much more difficult to win for some reason.  It might be due to match making and skewing certain teams one way or another.

As far as the AI, it's definitely much better than it was in the beta.  They're still fairly easy to kill though.  I never came close to being killed by a grunt or a specter in the beta, but I'm always getting surrounded by them now, and occasionally killed by them (usually from a melee attack).

I'm not arguing against the fact that there are many different gun sounds or gravel crunches, I'm saying you wouldn't layer them together. You don't take 128 steps in one moment or your gun doesn't fire 128 different round types at once.100's of different sounds may play within close proximity of each other but if you layered so much together the audio would just be confusing.

Say you are right though and the game layers 100's of sounds together, why all of a sudden can't the PC handle compressed audio when games have been using it for years?

For me personally this is a no-issue, I recently picked up a 1TB SSD and I already had a 500GB one from a few years back which is still in the system, I also have a large monthly download limit and the fact that it uses uncompressed audio doesn't faze me at all. But it is a reasonable point to criticize, I just don't understand why people get so defensive over the negative criticism because everything has some flaws.

The uncompressed audio was an optimization targeted only at the game's minimim cpu requirement, its only on those old dual cores where they couldn't spare the resources for compressed audio. Compressed audio would be pretty much negigable on any more modern cpu.

Some of these people make it sound like Titanfall is the only PC game using that much space. Anything to make it look bad, I swear lol

As far as i know it actually is. The biggest games i have on my PC take in the 25GB. And we are talking about MMOs here with big world and lot of content. Most of the AAA games installed on my PC takes around 15GB and they look as good and even better than Titanfall. As far as the sound effects go Titanfall did not sound any better than the other games to me.

Yes, the kick attack is quite deady! Plus they do aim on occasion...but overall i feel bad for them. However, nice design choice, they are awesome for detecting other pilots - just follow the blips/sound of gunfire.

While playing by myself the other night, I actually got a chance to overhear the AI grunts and one of them actually yelled out "he's cloaked!".

Hahaha good one, thanks for posting that. I'd also like to share a word with the mo-cap actors...some of their movements are odd...i can tell the girl actor is the overly athletic type that probably lectures her friends about organic food and tea infusions while shopping at Whole Foods

EDIT: hahaha "i haven't missed a single shot today"

"that's because you haven't pulled the trigger"

                       "i'm trying to be precise!"

For the year?

No it's for the life of the game, think it gives you 3 map/weapon packs in total. Saves you a small amount from purchasing separately. Of course this will be on top of the free updates that should also be coming.

I'm really loving the game, so I think I'll be picking it up. I managed to use a bunch of vouchers on the game itself so only paid ?26 for the game.

Edit - So the individual "drop pods" of DLC are priced at ?7.99 each, so you'll save ?4, and they're coming spring, summer and autumn.
