I'm enjoying game since beta, My first multi ever, never like multi games but this one is different. I think dev's suppose add option with simple choice. Match making for beginners, semi advanced  and hardcore gamers. I'm now on lvl. 47 but i don't see my self with pro gamers even if I will get Generation lvl. I'm just light gamer and game with semi advanced players would be OK for me.

Kills during the epilogue for either side don't go on your KD ratio/tracking, you just get the XP for them. And i agree, the campaign is silly hard and completely redundant. I don't know why they bothered with it, to me it's just gamerscore if i even bother with it. They should have done a bot campaign or a proper campaign, barring that the effort and time could have gone to implementing proper v-sync...

Sadly to me it's those 2 new Titans. To get the Ogre titan you have to complete both campaigns. I have my Ogre Titan unlocked, with the triple grenade launcher and those 8 locking on Rockets. 1V1 My titan wins pretty much every time, 100% of the time if it's against a Titan other than an Ogre, another Ogre it's 50/50 depending on its primary weapon. The only drawback to my Titan loadout is those grenades take ages to explode unless they hit another titan so my Titans anti-infantry capabilities are basically zilch.

Never played Counter-Strike eh?

Counter-Strike is not a pure shooter - I've seen it more as a tactical shooter (Rainbow Six is more like the direct successor to CS); Team Fortress is the same.

And that same rubric applies to all of the sequels.

Also Ghost Recon Online which is frankly more y playstyle than all these rush and shoot games, more realistic to since you don't rush, run and jump like an idiot, but try to avoid getting shot :p

Ghost Recon Online is ALSO a tactical shooter - as is the original Ghost Recon.  If you have specific roles (and there are multiple roles available), it's not a *pure* shooter in any sense of the word.

Titanfall IS as pure a shooter as has existed since Nexuiz or the original Unreal Tournament - you can't play Titanfall as a grunt.

really. really? really?

True, they tied the two good titans to the campaigns to "force" us to experience them, which makes sense. But since i'm fine with the default titan, it's not a problem. Understand that if you need the other two for your loadout and play style, then definitely slogging through the campaigns can be a bother. It's somewhat of a cheap trick that they conditioned MP unlocks on pseudo SP requirements...even COD doesn't do that. But since TF is such an awesome experience, they are forgiven.

Won't be getting the season pass though tempted. Really want to support them, as this is the multiplayer masterpiece we were expecting. Sure it's not Catcher in the Rye, but it's not supposed to be  As i mentioned earlier, this is the most compelling MP game since BF3 to me, and even more so because of the rapid progression. This is like "just one more round" Civ 5 with guns, jetpacks, and exosuits. Brilliant. And when you look at it the X1 graphics are pretty good, those are ultra textures forced to run in 792p for some reason. Shame about that v-sync, though.

EDIT: love your sig, McKay, sexiest prosecutor this side of Law and Order fantasyland :D

And you progress through it regardless of whether you win or not, right?

As for matchmaking, it's true some matches are very one sided, you'll get a bunch of G3/G4's matched against people like me, a mere 45. That's why i don't want to get the season pass - not just the expense, but i really don't like prestiging, and i believe even a great game needs to be put aside eventually, as there's so much great content to enjoy out there. I wouldn't say the matchmaking is too unbalanced, not more than other similar games. The massacre effect is present in all of them. Likely the best of the bunch is BF4 for that, when it deigns to work...

IMO, the Atlas titan is by far the best. It's extremely well-rounded -- two dashes is just enough, and it's got plenty of power (especially when you get the damage booster).

I find myself playing campaign more than classic to be honest. Seeing as its just multiplayer, but with a little motivation as to why you're there. I get in, choose campaign and then random mission.

I'd prefer Variety but Last Titan Standing is just lame.

Been doing a little classic Attrition.

Definitely, Atlas is fine, enjoy using it and don't feel the need to unlock the other two, but other players of course have different styles

Other than that CS and RB6 are of course completely different games, one is a twitch shooter the other is a tactical shooter.

GRO is a tactical shooter, even more so than RB6 (it's not comparable to the original GR though, mostly because it's smaller, GR also didn't have classes as such) it's still an online only shooter. now you're making up requirements to fit your original argument. Doesn't work that way ;)

I think what they did with campaign is kinda cool. My only problem is that I missed out on most of the actual story. During the 90 seconds between matches id be choosing burn cards or checking out other things I unlocked and tweaking my loadouts and during the match I'm paying more attention to what I'm doing, not any of the dialogue.

That said it also leaves some desire for a fleshed out single player campaign. They've got the setting and story for it.

The matchmaking in Titanfall is truly perhaps the worst in any game I've ever played. Does it even exist? I played one CTF game today where my team capped it three times (the limit in a half) within about a minute and a half. Then I just quit out of a game where it was me and five low-ranked players (rank 15 or less) against a team of generation 6 players. The other team had about 20 kills each, whereas my teammates had about 2 kills a piece, if that. What the hell kind of balance is that?

I'm convinced it doesn't exist. I've made it to gen 2 and I can probably count on two hands the number of close battles I've seen. The only thing that's balanced is that sometimes you crush teams and other times you get crushed. To make matters even worse, the teams don't change after the game unless people leave. You just have to back out and hope that the next lobby isn't the same way.

I don't understand why they didn't just implement something that shuffled teams after the game ended.

I think the problem mostly lies with it's reliance on Party's, I can only join a friends game if their team has an open slot. It will not let us play on opposite sides, which definitely seems to always unbalance the teams.

We can pretty much count on Titanfall 2 having a more traditional campaign, especially since it will be a wider release on more platforms. It may still be a semi-MP thing, but more fleshed out as you say. The world is quite interesting even if it's cliche-laden, i'd like to hear more about it. The opening cinematic with humanity taking the first steps beyond Earth moved me as a supporter of space exploration.

'I've been in government for a long time, I can smell bulls**t"

"You know why we haven't found the plane yet?.. It has no oil in it"

"I'm the President I can get that s**t done"

Funniest part about this video is the fact that the people actually thought it was really Obama.

Maybe. All of the COD games had a similar system, and they randomized teams.
