Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

I've often wondered... Well clearly Bruce smears dark eye make-up so his eyes through the cowl look dark. Why doesn't he do his jaw/chin?

Why not? If he'd smeared make-up on his jaw/chin then he might as well use a mask like the one Terry McGinnis uses. Plus, in the comics the cowl has lenses and it isn't just a cowl, there's a whole system of gadgets in it.

Adam Driver Reportedly A Frontrunner To Play 'Nightwing' In BATMAN VS SUPERMAN

He doesn't really have the looks for Nightwing to be honest :/

The Cowl has tech in it, that's why we get "detective mode" in the batman games.  Well, that's one way to explain it really.   They should use some type of lens in the next movie that reflects light or that they can use in post production to make it look like it does.  So when he's fully in the shadows all you can see is the eyes, like in the comics.

OH, Doomsday!   Well that's interested, I said in a post months ago that having Doomsday in the 2nd movie and have it lead into a JL movie with Darkseid as the bad guy after would be the best thing to do.  This was back before the news that Batman would be in the 2nd movie though.

That's what I want to see in this film as well, a cowl that's more like the comic books and that actually hides his eyes but with a white lens in front of them. It's not only in games that he has that "detective move" in his cowl. It's basically part of the cowl and it has a lot more lenses than just that one. Plus, he has the lenses to prevent eye identification. Also, there's a communication system in there (in his left ear) to stay in contact with his allies and to scan the police radio with. There's a layer of lead in there so that people with metahuman abilities can't see his identity. Not that this was the case in the Justice League series.

We saw parts of that system in "The Dark Knight" btw. Though he was just at the beginning of his career at that point so the cowl wasn't as advanced yet.

So let me ask here cause I didn't really read all the comics and I'm not about to start, but do they kinda fight each other as good guys to see who's going to get the bad guy first cause anything other will or may ruin it for me as they are both just good guys.

There have been a few first meeting stories where Sups hears about a vigilante the cops are looking for and investigates, finding Bats. The first interactions are, well, intense before they join forces.

There is also The Dark Knight Returns where Sups is basically playing nice with the govt. and Bats is a fugitive after being framed for murder. Bats & Sups have a battle royal with Sups in a weakened state after a nuclear explosion.

I'm betting on the former but hoping for something akin to the latter.

Kevin Smith Has Seen the Batman Suit From Batman vs. Superman

"I saw the Batman costume. More than that I saw a picture of him (Affleck) in the costume. Now, I don't want to give anything away 'cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this, I instantly bear hugged him (Snyder). You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before, and for a comic book fan it was mind bending. I was like 'Get out of here, only you have enough power to pull this off.' Because everyone always like does this Matrix/X-men black armor...It was fantastic. I'm already a flag waver for this movie, but the costume, it blew my mind. I think everyone is just gonna be like 'Holy ****!' It's its own thing, man. It's like we haven't been down this path at all. I was so elated....Even the hardest core ?**** all this? person will be like 'alright, I'm ready.'"

This weekend, Warner Bros. held their Man of Steel online fan event to promote the upcoming Blu-ray release of the film, and while director Zack Snyder shared a few details on the highly-anticipated sequel, it was what came later that was truly exciting. On another episode of his Hollywood Babble-On podcast (via CBM), director Kevin Smith revealed that Zack Snyder showed him a picture of the Batman costume for the follow-up film, Batman vs. Superman.

"I saw the Batman costume. More than that I saw a picture of him (Affleck) in the costume. Now, I don't want to give anything away 'cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this I instantly bear hugged him (Snyder). Smith also mentioned the costume has a certain influence on its style, but redacted that portion of his praise. Will it be based on Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns? Something else? What do you think the costume will look like? Sound off below!

So it's not all black like the others and ..... grey?   :P

Having been playing the newest batman arkham game this past week, the more greyish suit in these games look good to me.  I also like the one the game uses, with the beefy gloves and boots  and so on.

Those words mean a lot coming from Kevin Smith. As I understand it, he's a huge fan of Batman and wrote some comic books about that character (like Batman: Cacophony). Hell, he even named his daughter Harley Quinn after the comic book character. I'm really starting to get hyped up for this movie. I enjoyed watching Man of Steel and I have a strong feeling I'll enjoy the sequel even more.

Can't wait to see the suit! Also, they're better off not putting Nightwing into the movie at all seeing all the casting rumors. None of them have the looks for a Nightwing at all.

Not only is he a big fan but so is Ben to begin with.

UPDATE: A fan who attended the podcast claims the word bleeped out when Kevin says who Batsuit it resembles- Jim Lee.

Source: The new Batsuit will be like nothing we?ve seen before (UPDATE!)

I believe this means we'll get to see a more streamlined kevlar suit without the armor that we've seen in the Dark Knight trilogy! (Hopefully without the undies as well :p). Well, as posted before it was already stated there wouldn't be any armor. Jim Lee's Batman always looked pretty awesome, specially in Hush. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what they've made.

Yeah at this point I don't care about Nightwing

Lost actor Terry O'Quinn is the latest name dropped as a possible candidate for the role of Lex Luthor in Batman vs Superman. At least that's the latest from the Superman Super Site and Man of Steel Fan Page. It's reported that O'Quinn is one of several actors on Zack Snyder's shortlist so there's no guarantee he'll get the role. But I'll certainly admit, O'Quinn definitely has the look. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) was previously rumored to be up for the role, as well as Mark Strong (John Carter, Sherlock Holmes) but both actors debunked have since debunked those rumors. With filming expected to begin in earnest in early 2014,expect official casting announcements to come sooner rather than later.

A suit without the armor bit would be more inline with the video games to.   Sounds good to me, guess we could be in for a more grey'ish color as well?

    • Personally, I’ve found that it’s usually worth investing in the infrastructure you don’t want to replace later, especially cabling. Running Cat6A (or better, depending on your needs) during an upgrade is relatively inexpensive compared to having to re-cable a few years down the road. For switches I try to balance current specs with realistic growth. If my budget allows it Ill choose switches with higher uplink speeds which leaves room for expanding later on, but I don’t necessarily overspend on access ports if the endpoints won’t benefit from them anytime soon. One lesson I’ve learned is that planning for scalability pays off. It’s much easier to add devices, VLANs, or higher-bandwidth workloads when your network infrastructure already supports it than to replace hardware later.  What is your budget like?
    • I hate the term, "future-proof." We saw it back in the 90's / 2000's, if not before. You cannot future-proof anything, since there is no definition of how far into the future you plan on prepping for. Best idea is to tell us what you currently have and what its use is at the moment, and we can then offer ideas about some areas that might need an upgrade and other areas that can be left alone.
    • I can agree that it is being used in a small capacity. I worked for a company where their engineers still used XP, and when asked why it was because their sensor software wasn't compatible with newer operating systems and the software was discontinued so they couldn't upgrade the software. Given that the sensors were still in use by companies, they had to continue using XP to support the sensor, otherwise the price to the company would have gone into the millions or billions. Our response was simple: Ok, you can keep the XP machine. But we're removing it from the network. "But then it can't access the Internet or folder shares!" Yup, kinda the point. If someone wants to continue using an unsecure OS they can do, I have no problem with that. But it should be isolated. Simple. I had a fight with a guy in the engineering department for weeks before he finally relented. But we digress.   What do I plan on doing to commemorate the anniversary? Nothing. I have fond memories of the OS, but at the end of the day it's just an OS. If I had some time I might see if I could install it on my Raspberry Pi for a laugh. But my reflex memory with today's OS ideas would probably get me frustrated and I'd uninstall it after 5 mins.
