Kevin Smith talks about Batman suit

?I talked about it on Hollywood Babble-On, but I have seen the suit. I did this Man Of Steel Yahoo, fan event when the DVD came out. I was hosting Zack Snyder was there, Amy Adams, we had Henry Cavill from satellite over in the UK, and you know it was all about Man of Steel. And at one point Zack talked a little bit about the future and Batman Vs Superman, but when the show was all done, Zack was all like ?Kev come here, come here?, and he takes me over to the corner and whips out his phone, and he shows me a picture of Batman. Live action version of Batman. A very familiar Batman, I might add. It didn?t look like any of the cinematic Batmans that have ever gone before. He shows me that picture and behind Batman?Superman in the suit looming in the distance. Both on a roof top kind of thing. It was on a set, a little set the put together for this photo shoot. So I was like ?Oh my god! Is that the suit?! The suit looks amazing! Did you get people to model it?? And he goes, ?That?s your boy.? And I look closely and it?s Ben Affleck wearing the suit. The suit, it is not mine to spill, in terms of what it looks like, you?ll see it. They?ll tell you when they want you to know, but any Batman fan is going to be F?ing pleased. I?m going to tell you that right now. They gave you the suit you all wanted to see.?

I think that could be close but I don't know about the tights. They're moving away from that old look, like how supermans doesn't have them anymore.

Wow, I hope that's not going to happen because it would delay the film even more :/

About the suit: Yeah, I don't think they'll be going that old-school either.

In fact, the story has been blasted by writer El Mayimbe from respected film site Latino-Review.

He tweeted: ?That Affleck threatening to quit claim is utterly RIDICULOUS.?

Mayimbe added: ?Affleck has a relationship at that studio that goes beyond the Batman role. Affleck has zero reason to play hardball with the WB.?

Is this the kind of "we" you so kindly talk on behalf of?

I'm willing to take my licks. I didn't think he could pull it off, either... and then he

went and aced it like a Boss.

WARNING ? Intense possible SPOILing OR just some fun bullsh*t going down:

  • The villians are Lex Luthor and Metallo
  • Batman forms a UN type deal to stop Superman from destroying another city
  • Aquaman is in it, but not called Aquaman. He?s there because the world engine in the ocean did something to the fish
  • Wonderwoman poses as a Wayne Enterprises investor to retrieve an item that belongs to her people.
  • Lex Luthor is in the shadows a lot, a manipulator. Not much face time with Superman.
  • Robin betrayed Batman at some point, leading to a falling out between them
  • The Batcave was super cool looking, and the mobile looked similar to Burton?s
  • Lois is investigating Lex.
  • Metallo ?kills? Clark
  • The Daily Planet is bought by Lex Luthor for PR purposes
  • At the end Superman is living in exile, and the Justice League is an government approved superhero team.

Take this all with a pinch of salt!

"I'm not wearing hockey pants."

One of my favorite lines. But yea, I can't see them going THAT old school.

pants?

The line is "I'm not wearing hockey pads".

WW pretending to be someone else only to show her powers at the very end of the movie is something I expected so if a rumor points to her doing that for some reason then I'm leaning towards it being true at this point. I also expect batman being who he is to know the identities of most superheroes that show up.

I don't. While he is a detective, he needs something to detect.

That means he can't work on figuring out someone identity until he knows

they exist. And the movie made it clear that "Superheroes" aren't in the public eye.

Otherwise, when Aliens attacked you would have had people like Perry White

asking, "Where's the Flash, or Wonder Woman?"

Gal Gadot appeared on the Israeli entertainment show "Good Evening with Gai Pines" recently where she confirmed she is locked into a three movie deal when she signed on to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" project at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Gadot is tipped to make around $300,000 for her role in the first film, with her filming commitments to begin in May.

It seems like the 3 movie deal is what everyone signs in the superhero movies nowadays. Also the $300,000 leads me to believe that her scenes are going to be small overall.

"According to the source, the plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates don't cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it?s leagues above and beyond Bale?s suit from what I?m told."

Not sure yet what to make of that to be honest but it sounds interesting for sure. It also made me think of this suit:

But yeah, that won't happen since it's not a "real" suit in the comic-books (readers of Detective Comic will know what I mean ;))

    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
