Welcome to the Neowin photo gallery (now yearly, as voted by Neowin members!)! Here you can post your pictures and discuss your photography techniques.

Please be mindful of our members on dial-up and try to keep the dimensions of the pics and the size of the files to a respectable size for 1024 x 768 viewers. Please refrain from quoting images in your replies.

I will also ask that you link to images on your own space, as much as possible.

Try to put more details from your camera settings (EXIF) and also talk about what you have done with photoshop (or similar).

There are a lot of photographers here that like your editing skills and would like to learn more.

The previous thread can be found here.

Posting your photos is made easier thanks to a member contribution! Argote created a Flickr to IPB webapp, thanks! [direct link to app]

Has this thread been cleaned? (I could've sworn there were more posts in this one)

This is the new thread for 2014, last year's thread had plenty of posts in it ;)

I might have been thinking of another 2014 thread, (I could have sworn it was on page 2 or 3)

Anyway, back on topic, I'm not a photographer, not even in the amateur sense, but I do enjoy seeing what users can do so will look forward to new photos :)

Here is a Christmas leftover.

Never photographed planes before, but the first one I like!

Thanks I have similar ones like the first shot taken from the same day and last summer. I'd like to be there at sundown but they close the park at dusk.  So probably only get one picture then would have to leave.

I like this photo, think it needs rotating left a little and it will be even nicer!

Yeah I got bumped when taking it.   I wish I had a bigger zoom lens on at the time as well as there were snipers on the roof at one point.  To the bottom left of the flag you'll see two tripods with binoculars then people up there.

Any easy way to rotate it?

I don't have photoshop

You should be able to do that with Gimp - http://gimp.org/ (its the open source equivalent to Photoshop)

Failing that i can do it for you.

Really really like this... I tried to do some firework photography a while back without trying to actually read anything and went the complete wrong way and was trying far too fast shutter speeds and wondering why it didnt work. This is a fine example of how to do it properly and also helpful because you've posted the settings too.

Great example of how sticking the horizon dead centre can work, composition is spot on. Literally cannot praise this enough :)

What a good shot, love the bokeh ( though bad, it actually works for the photo).
