Well... That sure went well didn't it...

It's actually true, considering.  A lot of kids have parents or siblings who use guns, so not knowing how to safely use them could lead to some grand accidents.

 

I've never wanted to hunt or use guns in my life, but I did go to a safety class when I was 9 or sommat.

And this was one accident, of a very rare kind, out of of millions of kids who regularly go to ranges, hunt etc. More people are killed on bicycles etc. than by accidental shootings.
