Hmmm... that is included in the Jan Release! Sometimes seems like it doesn't install though. :/ It depends, actually, on your system speed. If it hasn't fully processed that the MDAC 2.8 was installed, it doesn't install the upgrade, I had it workin' on 5 systems, so I released it, but some will probably slip through the cracks. Sorry 'bout that. :)

hey man no problem. I just downloaded the update from winupdate real quick.. i probably had a way out of date version :D Program still owns!

Hey, I was wondering if theres anyway to "install" this to a Windows CD? I have an old Windows CD which I would like to update with this (And it will save me installing this after a reinstall of Windows:)) Oh, and probably a stupid question, but I assume you need to download SP1 separatly? - Sorry if any of this has been in one of the other 35 pages but I don't really have time time to read all the posts in detail, thanks!

a buddy of mine mentioned to me that he installed the jan package, and aftwerards, scanned for trojans/backdoors and says he found one.  can you adress this flish?

Sure thing, man. I'll do a fresh install and scan. Do you know specifically what one he said he found?

@Kefka - Yes, you can just burn the AutoPatcher to a CD, and it will work. :) And yes, you'll have to download SP1 seperately. (Y)

Just a heads up. After seeing the report from Toxikk about the virus. I went back and scanned my january update package all the files and then the original autopatcher directory with the new update files then a full system scan. No viruses found. No worries peeps.

Did a search, cant find them no :/

Interesting... do me a favor... take a screenie of your ProgFiles Dir, set it to View as List so we can fit as many files as possible in there. (Y) We'll get to the bottom of this right now. :D

@Toxikk - Thank ya, sir! (Y)

@[Thrice] - Thanks for your input too... curious to what his friend found, though.

Once again on a 10 scale I give FlishFun and Raptor a 10, very good job on the AutoPatcher for January (Update and Full version) (Y), I always download both for testing on different machines, I didnt run into any problems. :beer:

I also read from a couple of ppl that they scan their computers and found trojans/backdoors, I didnt find anything in my computer and I use Symantec Corporate Edition and I'm always scanning my computer with this program Stinger

Very good scanner for viruses, trojans & variants. :yes:

I already have the Dec Update installed though. I thought if i have that i just needed to get the update?

That's 100% true, but you need to run the Update.exe and let it patch the Dec Update. In the next release, I'll rename the files so it won't be confusing. :) No worries... just give that a shot. :)

    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • I've never even heard of this browser before seeing this article. How does it differ from other browsers?
    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
