StyleXP prolly doesnt recognise the new uxtheme.dll (MS has made a new version of uxtheme.dll, which we included)... I thought the Jason had it pre-patched though... that means the StyleXP's uxtheme handling is not needed when you have a patched uxtheme.dll

/Raptor

Can you just disable the UxTheme.dll patcher when installing AutoPatcher? Will that allow StyleXP to work properly?

The Moog

Yep... also you will have to uncheck "Q329059 - Themed Programs May Stop Working During Long Operations" under recommended updates... it changes the Uxtheme version as well. (Y)

I originally had a 768/128K connection. I was hearing on the Broadbandreports.com forums that due to competition that they will prolly raise the cap sometime at the begining of this year. Well, they happened to raise it today while i was sharing. I came on today and saw my upload speed was going at 25k/sec instead of the usual 12k. So now I have 2x the bandwidth :) I felt good that I shared 4x as I recived too.

january updated.. downloaded installed. restarted comp.. all worked without a hitch. Nice program once again :D

you missed one update though.. on the mdac security components.. i see it on windows update.. no biggy though..

Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)

Download size: 2.0 MB, 14 minutes

An identified security issue in Microsoft Data Access Components could allow an attacker to compromise a Windows-based system and take a variety of actions. For example, an attacker could execute code on the system. By installing this update, you help protect your computer. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. Once you have installed this item, it cannot be removed.

Hmmm... that is included in the Jan Release! Sometimes seems like it doesn't install though. :/ It depends, actually, on your system speed. If it hasn't fully processed that the MDAC 2.8 was installed, it doesn't install the upgrade, I had it workin' on 5 systems, so I released it, but some will probably slip through the cracks. Sorry 'bout that. :)

Hopefully I'll have a mirror up and running as well for both the january full and update.

just need to get a message from Flish back on the file locations

Will keep you guys updated on this and otherwise I thnk flish will ;)

I  my new toy @ work [no bandwidth limit host]

    • Hello, Version 19 of ESET's consumer offerings are 64-bit only. The 32-bit installers are for Version 18, which were announced in this Neowin article. In addition to ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security Premium, and ESET Security Ultimate, both ESET Safe Server and ESET Small Business Security v19.1.14.0 have been released as well. • I can name 10x that on why not to switch.... It's funny outlook/office are going towards web app wrappers, and then MS is now preaching native apps again.... ugh can we just pick a lane and stay in it
    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
