FlishFun, I just noticed something, I had Windows Uptime Tool installed on my main computer, not from the AutoPatcher.

If I install Windows Uptime Tool from the AutoPatcher, it does create a folder on C:\Program Files,

but it does not create a folder under Programs List.

Now, If I install Windows Uptime Tool from their website, it does create a folder under Programs List,

not a biggie, because I just take the .exe, copy and paste it to Startup.

But isn't it suppose to create a folder under Programs List?

Just wanted to let you know. :D

Good news for Raptor and FlishFun: Windows XP SP2 does include the .NET Framework. I noticed while I was installing the beta on my test machine it installed System.Windows.Forms.dll, mscorlib.dll, and all the other .NET Framework components. :D

Why you need a version in your own language? It only updates windows :s

most of the patches have different language versions.

there may be versions of the patches that include all languages, but i imagine they are a great deal bigger.

Any way you can post some instructions so we can posibly make our own package? I love this package, but would like to take out a thing or two and add a few.

Can you possibly make some kind of wizard program that would help us make this?

Good jerb. Keep up the good work...

Check out .....\Documentation\Customize.txt and a few of the other text files...

also: .....\Database Editor\AutoPatcher Database Editor.exe

Everybody should use the Torrents.

I'm downloading here @ 55 kB/s and sharing @ 8 KB/s. I'm finishing the downlod in just under 1h20min. It'll prob speed up too. I feel sorry for everyone getting their servers hammered.

Is there anyway to Slipstream some of these updates as well, like DX 9. The only prob I can see is the registry entries not getting updated.

Any ideas? I like 'Ghosting' my drive but if you change HDDs it usually won't work. Slipstream saves time.

edit: Its going over 85 KB/s now .... I was downloading something else. Torrent system does work. I'm sharing after I'm done too.

i ono bout yall, but im noticing a lot of bsod in my system now after using this and using aim with deadaim 3.2.1

anyone else notice irql error in xp after installing this?

Interesting... no, have no reports of that... though I use AIM (but not DeadAIM)... is it only happening when you use those two?

@nicedreams - Read through the files in the Documentation folder... also the Database Maker is there to help with that. :)

Excellent work! Have used this since the Dec release and it's great. StyleXP 2.0 won't enable after installing though. StyleXP checks build versions of Windows and it denies enabling of styles.

Yeah, the Uxtheme included in the Jan Release is newer than the one StyleXP uses.

    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
    • If the drive/memory is soldered to the board, which it probably is, then it's a no from me
