Can someone PM me the list of Windows critical & recommended, Internet Explorer, and Outlook Express patches

No, not the tweaks or anything like that, a complete listing of all security updates in AXP.

Just go through this, man! :)

Complete.txt

Bah, not very fast. Mirror 2 for the Full was good.

For pre-SP2 updates, are the unchecked ones updates that I've already installed via Windows Update? Or are some already installed updates still checked?

The AP scans your registry, so ones that are unchecked, it's found... ones that are checked, you've either never installed, or it cannot find in the Registry. (Y)

I don't know if this was reported or not, but there is 1 minor problem with Tweakomatic:

Shortcut points to the wrong file (tweakomatic.mdb) instead of tweakomatic.hta

From readme file:

How do I use the Tweakomatic?

The Tweakomatic consists of two files: Tweakomatic.mdb (a database containing all the relevant information), and Tweakomatic.hta, the front-end to that database. To use the Tweakomatic, make sure the two files are in the same folder (and that this folder is on the local computer; HTAs don?t work well across the network), andouble-click Tweakomatic.htab>.

D'Oh! :pinch: Consider it fixed in Feb's update... sorry 'bout that!!

OMG FlishFun is owned!!!!

You do know that it was reported when the December Issue came out? :o

How could you

JK ;)

Actually I knew there was one thing I was missing and went through the threads and just couldn't find it... I knew it was what I was lookin' for soon as he posted it.

Hmm ... FlishFun ... Have a very important question ...

Everytime I unpack AutoPatcher my virus checker (Panda 2004) goes apesh*t and tells me that it has intercepted a virus, it tells me that psshutdown.exe is a hacking tool and always cancels the archive.

Can you clarify that this is legitimate, and if so why is it construed as being a hacking tool by Panda?

Also, I have had a few problems with January build, basically it has not installed quite a few of the updates selected when I ran it, most obvious being WinMediaPlayer9, after rebooting it showed that WinMediaPlayer 8 was installed, and checking windows update showed that 14 critical updates were still available, on top of 17 non critical updates, including said WinMediaPlayer9 :(

They installed fine with the last build (December) so has something changed?

FYI, the critical updates that were still shown by WInUpdate afterwards were

330994

824145

832483

828035

825119

826933

824105

823182

824141

824146

817787

816093

814078

828026

Out of these 824105 tried to instal itself around 42 times (I kept a note) and it kept failing, or at least asking everytime if it could access the internet to get further updates :(

Is something broken in the January version?

Thanks in advance for your input, and I hasten to add I am in no way criticising your product as it is invaluable, I would just rather I didn't have these hassles ;)

@BeLGaRaTh - Yes there was an issue in the Jan update, and it's been fixed... get the patch here:

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=135553

Also, PSShutdown is a real file and it comes from SysInternals... see here:

Isn't there a built-in Windows alternative for pssshutdown?

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
