I think it will have hurt Sony that this game wasn't ready in time for Christmas, though better to delay it than release an unfinished product. Just look at all the problems that Halo: The Master Chief Collection has had.

You mean, Assassins Creed Unity?

C'mon, there's no denying that "The Master Chief Collection" has been swamped with problems. It still has tons of bugs and issues.

Not denying anything, just comparing a version 1.0 release game with a lot of issues with one that's game engine is still unfinished.

You mean, Assassins Creed Unity?

Assassin's Creed: Unity is a multiplatform game, whereas The Order: 1866 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are both platform exclusives. When a game has issues on all platforms

Judging by what the gaming sites said about this game, it's going to mediocre at best.

This, watched enough gameplay videos this isn't going to be massive seller. Don't think bloodborne is going to smash sales records either. And their the biggest exclusives Sony has this year outside of Uncharted. Dry start of the year for both consoles.

The Souls series gets into the millions. A dry start for you equates to sales by the way and not quality of titles???

The Order I agree is a wild card, but Bloodborne going by the Souls series is most likely going to review really well.

What? You haven't even try it and that's the problem with current era of gamers. No matter what kind of games came out those people will have nothing but bad things to share.

This is the basic problem the devs have. They try something new, it's met with a 'meh' attitude from gamers who haven't even tried it so they resort back to FPS like COD.

The gaming industry is in a huge hole and can't get out.

Good thing that COD is not very popular with PC gamers then.

Oh and, adding black lines on the top and the bottom of the screen so that the game renders 30% less stuff is not something new, it is the developers sucking at optimising and being lazy and preferring "cinematic" HA HA "experience", which is NOT welcomed at all between PC gaming circles.

You speak for all of PC gamers? COD is one of the most popular franchises ever, like it or not. FPS games home is on PC.

Who gives a toss about PC games in the Sony section of console gaming?

https://www.neowin.net/forum/forum/78-computer-gaming/  - there you go. Off you pop.

I was replying to another comment. Sorry, I'll be off.

35th place today on Steam. I guess you can call that "popular".

    • Google Gemini can now transform your photos into videos by Pradeep Viswanathan During Google I/O 2025, Google revealed Veo 3, its latest video generation model. By the end of May, Google expanded Veo 3 access to more countries and mobile users. Last week, Google expanded Veo 3 access to Google AI Pro subscribers in over 150 countries. Since its launch, Google claims that over 40 million videos have been generated using Veo 3 across the Gemini app and Flow. Today, Google announced a new capability in Gemini that can turn any photo into an eight-second video using the power of the Veo 3 model. If you have a Google AI Pro subscription, here's how you can turn your photos into videos: Go to the Gemini app and select ‘Videos’ from the tool menu in the prompt box. Upload a photo by tapping the '+' button. Type in the scene and audio instructions. Gemini will transform your photo into an 8-second video. You can also share the video with others or download it. It is important to note that all Gemini-generated videos will come with a visible watermark to show they are AI-generated and an invisible SynthID digital watermark to prevent easy tampering. While ChatGPT has already sparked numerous viral moments—most recently with its Studio Ghibli–style images—Gemini has yet to catch a similar wave since its launch. Google has been leveraging its employees on social media to drum up excitement around new products, but hasn’t broken through so far. This photo-to-video converter, however, looks poised to go viral, and you can even see Google CEO Sundar Pichai hyping it up on X in the tweet below. This new photo-to-video capability is now rolling out to both Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in select countries around the world.
    • ReFS memory hog, networking, and stability issues are fixed in Windows 11 (KB5062663) by Steven Parker It has been almost two weeks since Windows Insiders have received an update in the Beta Channel, and one has just dropped: Windows 11 Build 22631.5696 (KB5062663) is now available for download via Windows Update. Microsoft is calling this a "Normall Rollout" likely because it does not contain any new features, but also because this build's fixes are immediately available to everyone = No stupid gradual, or staggered rollout! This update includes the following features and improvements that are rolling out as part of this update. Text bolded in brackets indicates the area of the change being documented. Changelog [Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA)] Fixed: This update brings profiles up to date for certain mobile operators. [File systems] Fixed: This update addresses an issue in the Resilient File System (ReFS) where using backup applications on large files could occasionally result in system memory becoming fully exhausted. Fixed: An issue where searching for PDF files in a shared folder could return incorrect error messages, such as “No More Files” or “STATUS_NO_MORE_FILES.” These errors disrupted output to the virtual PDF printer and interfered with backup processes. [Networking] Fixed: An issue where peripheral devices could take longer to work after resuming from hibernation on some devices with active cellular connections. [Printer] Improved: Printer names now appear more clearly when using IPP Directed Discovery, making it easier to identify printers during setup. [Stability issue] Fixed: This update addresses a problem observed in rare cases after installing the May 2025 security update and subsequent updates, causing devices to experience stability issues. Some devices became unresponsive and stopped responding in specific scenarios. As you can see, this is truly a bug fix build, but as always, Microsoft appreciates any feedback given through the Feedback Hub for any of these features not being quite up to spec, and other areas of the OS that need more work. You can find the complete changelog for the Beta build here.
