Recommended Posts

Does anyone have DLL patcher for XP SP2 yet? I haven't been able to find one. I wish MS would just allow all themes to work.

THANKS!

lol it's a little bit too early for that, it's not even out for legit beta testers yet

I have it installed. It is on the Beta test site. Hoping someone releases a patch quick.

I patched your .dll for SP2. Post back here if it works o.k. There is no reason why it shouldn't

emtp563, the dll didn't work. When I tried to change styles, I got a dll error. Plus it only comes up as classic mode.

I would really like a uxtheme patch too. I want to install sp2, since I am an official tester, but I want my themes too.

bangbang023,

Let me know if you find one, I will you if I find one also.

Was hoping that Windows X would have it done by now.

has anyone tried using the uxtheme patcher from tgtsoft? Once I install, I'm going to try it.

your best bet for a quick fix may be to grab the uxtheme.dll that was backed up (if you chose to back up your files when installing the SP, usually to %windir%\system\$NTServicePackUninstall$, dropping it into system32, and seeing if it works. I can't see much functionality being changed to the skin service

nope doesn't work. Give an error when you try to view the theme.

I know Vorte[x] patched all the alpha SP's. I'll ask him when i see him again if he can do this one. I think they've made it a little harder though this time around.

I would also like to see this. I am not in a big hurry for it, but it would be nice.

I kind of wish that Microsoft would release another visual style in the service pack.

You can try this one.

Could someone make a .bat file for everyone to replace this one really easy with? Thanks!

Perfect example why I do not like MS as a company. They're always doing crap like this. And they have very little to gain from it.

Cream is right Vortex did them for all the SP1 BETA's but he also did it for SP2 Build 1213... That can be downloaded Here

I would expect him to release one for BETA1 soon.
