Overall, the situation worked out well. A fault was discovered and action taken...SpaceX and NASA will be happy...and once Dragon recovered, an investigation can commence for improvements. The more flights that tally, the more "issues" will pop up, the more that get addressed. 

 

I will be happy next round when autonomous guidance used.

NASA TV overage begins Sunday at 0445 EDT, with slashdown at 1054 EDT.

Flight controllers will use the Canadarm2 robotic arm to detach the Dragon capsule, from the Earth-facing side of the station's Harmony module. After they maneuver Dragon into place, Expedition 50 astronauts Thomas Pesquet of ESA (European Space Agency) and Shane Kimbrough of NASA will release it at 5:11 a.m.

Dragon’s thrusters will be fired to move the spacecraft a safe distance from the station before SpaceX flight controllers in Hawthorne, California, command its deorbit burn about 10 a.m. The capsule will splash down about 10:54 a.m. in the Pacific Ocean

Daily Breeze article on flying Dragons critical and sensitive cargo to NASA on a charter after its return to port.

 

Why? They had samples of MRSA and other superbugs (antibiotic resistant bacteria) on ISS to see what effect space would have on them. Those experiments are completed, so...
