They were working an issue with the autonomous flight termination system, but it's been cleared - a software problem.

@elonmusk
All systems go, except the movement trace of an upper stage engine steering hydraulic piston was slightly odd. Standing down to investigate.

The Falcon 9 rocket has been safed, and the launch team will now detank the vehicle ahead another potential countdown tomorrow, assuming the thrust vector control system issue can be resolved.

If SpaceX clears the rocket for flight tomorrow, launch would occur at 9:38:58 a.m. EST (1438:58 GMT).

NASA and SpaceX say the abort called at T-minus 15 seconds is related to the second stage thrust vector control system issue. The mechanism is used to point the upper stage's Merlin engine for in-flight steering.

Overall, I'm impressed with the pad ops...went real well.

Tomorrow is another day and chalk today up to a "practice run".

Press conference cancelled due to lack of time for info...NASA will post data on the NASA SpaceX Blog instead.

Not a big deal. Twitter will have it sooner.

@elonmusk

Btw, 99% likely to be fine (closed loop TVC wd overcome error), but that 1% chance isn't worth rolling the dice. Better to wait a day.
