Did everyone fall asleep? There's a race in Monaco this weekend.

To be fair, it is the worst track on the calendar, plus there's also the Indy 500 this weekend. :p

Alright, let's catch up!

Driver of the race: Fernando Alonso for wisely dodging this race train journey in favour of the Indy 500.

Reject of the race: Marcus Ericsson for crashing at turn 1 under the safety car.

Too bad the Honda engine still let Alonso down, He was doing well until then.

Indeed. He was in a good position to win the Indy 500 at the first attempt - which is no small feat. One can only imagine the colourful Spanish swear words he must have uttered when the engine gave up.

On the bright side, a former F1 driver did win it, just not the one most people were focusing on.

Hard to believe it was almost Max Chilton, too; he finished 4th and led the most laps out of anyone else with 50/200! :o

Also have to mention Scott Dixon's huge crash...

That is a testament to modern-day safety right there; his car was destroyed, but he walked away uninjured.

Red Bull fastest again. could make for an interesting race. Though it was a messy session, Palmer and Verstappen crashed and a lot of people bailing down escape roads (even created a bit of a traffic jam).
