Not sure where to post this so please move to correct forum if needed.

I installed the Neowin app today..

I have a couple of suggestions, it seems a little bit disjointed and jumbled.

I'll explain via the screenshots..

This Browse section, would it be possible for this to be renamed as Home? It would seem to be a nicer landing page.

This one seems a little cluttered, any way to streamline it to topic header as opposed to topic and post text?

Would it be possible to relocate this to a sort of 'activity' section within the relevant topic sub headers as suggested within the suggestion on the first image?

A USER based setting...

I can see the posts from users on my ignore list, could someone look into that?

All in all I like it, makes it a lot quicker to load up on my phone using chrome or FF.

Hopefully, the customisable notifications will be fine tuned to my preferences via my phone.

Anything else I can think of, I'll add as I go along..

I'm sure more savvy users will add some suggestions also.

Oh, also, it keeps asking for permission for my location settings, so I had to click no to get rid of that pop up..

One of then has @Steven P. email address as the developer email

Details appear as legit.

If in doubt, I'd wait for @Steven P. to confirm or deny

Website links go to neowin.net

some dev details direct towards tapatalk

You can deny permissions, besides, the only permission it asked from me was access to my location

This is the 'official' Neowin branded tapatalk app, it's still in testing, so expect there to be updates and changes. It's being developed by Tapatalk as a branded version of their usual app, so there are limits to what can be modified in response to feature requests etc - the dev team here don't have the ability to change it, it has to go through Tapatalk.

Can you give examples of what you can and can't change?

Is there any notice of this coming out on iOS or is it best to use the tap talk app?

at a guess, it's on it's way

(I guess they're using android as a testing platform)

I hope there's some way to relay the feedback to tapatalk from here, as the home site dev team have an understanding of queries within the site, as opposed to contacting a third party app dev, and they respond with 'I don't know what you're talking about'

Guys I upgraded our Tapatalk account to premium, they build the apps, not me :p I wasn't even notified that the Android app was in the Play Store :s

But yes it's legit.

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
    • Yes, yes, YES, thank you AMD. Now display audio, night light, cleartype, etc, all work again.
