Yup that's v1.06.050

I've overwritten the current download

Changes:

- Added file size logging.

- Fix bug where application temporarily froze during clean.

- Added XP service pack detection.

- Added graphics card detection.

- Fixed bug where cleaning Temporary IE files also cleaned the history.

Nothing major added, hence the small increase in version number.

Suggestions:

Make cookies alphabetically sorted, or at least searchable, when user is trying to find cookies to add to save list.

Option to play sound when registry search is complete.

"Problem", "Data" & "Registry Key" list headers to sort the lists alphabetically.

I'm pretty certain that the progress bar isn't adhering to my skins progress bar settings. A tad irritating.

Either a log file recording registry changes/deletions made, or an undo feature or a combination of both.

Good work and very nicely put together.

Thanks for these suggestions, am adding them to the list.

The hits on the site have gone through the roof.

Seems to be getting very popular indeed! :D

Excellent Program. Simple Awesome. It's weird but can i ask for something in this program? You know sometimes when u install programs and u want to remove then but cant? and it's a bitch to remove them init. Well... could u possible add a tab into your utility to removing any entrys and stuff into the Add/Remove Programs?

Would be absoloutly Awesome. Prolly not needed but i would use it alot.

Great Program none the less! very fast... and i like that....

Great Work! Keep it up!

It is on the Add/Remove list for me (under CCleaner (remove only)

That dustbuster was nowhere near as good

Great program Bigdog

that is not what i was saying. Sometimes u install programs and ur computer can get a bit ****y and doesn't want to remove it. But i use a program Called Add/Remove (not the one supplied by xp) but it would be cool if a tool like this was implimented into Crap Cleaner... love the name lol..

That dustbuster was nowhere near as good

my point is that ccleaner would be great as a stand-alone executable and your statement saying that dustbuster is nowhere has good is somewhat true compared to ccleaner but still it is much better than many paid ones out there.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just a quick note to say, cheers for the support and ideas for Crap Cleaner.

It seems to have sky-rocketed in popularity today, should be around 20,000 downloads in one day! (Thanks to a small article on MSN in Norway.)

v1.07 is available for download at http://ccleaner.jump.to/

Oh shoot, I was just going to download the latest build, but the CCleaner homepage seems to have vanished. Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Great program, though, bigdog.

the site appears but a second later turns into "Not Found

The requested URL /partners/ccleaner/ was not found on this server."

Sorry the site is temporarily down.

Unfortunately due to over 20k people downloading it yesterday, the host disabled the site.

I think I may need some mirrors again. :)

    • Well i'll look into a docking station if needed and use that.    Normally i don't usually have all the drives connected at once,  usually once a month to sync the latest files, and then they go back in there storage area

    • Salesforce to acquire Fin, formerly Intercom, for over $3 billion by David Uzondu Image via DepositPhotos.com Salesforce today announced that it has reached an agreement with customer support software company Fin to buy the company for around $3.6 billion. Salesforce expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2027, and the acquisition will not change its financial guidance previously announced on May 27. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, in its press release, claimed that acquiring the startup gives Salesforce an immediate AI agent that resolves support tickets across email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Slack: You might know Fin by its former name, Intercom. If you have ever been on a website or inside a mobile app and noticed a little chat bubble widget floating in the bottom right corner of your screen, often featuring a friendly face and a message like, "Hi! How can we help you today?" you were almost certainly looking at Intercom. Intercom became Fin just last month, transforming itself into an "AI-first" platform that handles customer issues with little need for humans to intervene. The new name originates from the company's highly successful AI customer service agent, which it launched way back in 2023. This digital assistant supposedly resolves about 76% of customer service volume end-to-end on its own, so the business rebranded to match its primary software tool. Fin's new owners, Salesforce, went on an acquisition spree over the last few years, and some of them you might recognize, like its 2020 $27.7 Billion acquisition of Slack. The last few months saw the enterprise giant buy several startups, including m3ter, Momentum, Cimulate, and Contentful. Salesforce said that when the Fin deal pulls through, customers will "deploy AI agents across" various service operations, which will complement Agentforce, the platform that enables businesses to deploy customizable autonomous digital workers.
