Commander Tuvok made an appearance on the Orville as well

Seeing Tim Russ was pretty awesome indeed. :)

Another enjoyable character development episode. Sure it's retread on the old falling for a holodeck character, but at least there was a twist to it, AND a happy ending.  Also, totally loved Bortus getting addicted to cigarettes! That fight at the end was great.

I'll probably watch it when I'm alone and the wife is out doing other stuff. But it certainly wasn't great. the jokes where flat or dumb and the acting was cringey bad. certainly not usual mcfarlane quality.  I miss Eureka they did this kind of humor like masters.

Eureka was awesome!

BTW guys, what's with all the gaps between episodes?

That's just how Fox rolls I guess? What's more concerning is there are only like 3 episodes left in the season! Why doesn't the Orville get a full 22 or 24 episode order like other hour long scripted series? BOOOO! (I think there are only 14 episodes for this season, at least that's what IMDB and Wikipedia etc all say)

All caught up. Finally binged everything up until current. What a truly special show. Easily my most enjoyable binge in a great while. I like how they turned down the knob on some of the comedy of Season 1. Season 2 is great so far. I thought I'd really miss Alara (and for an episode I did), but I'm used to her being gone. I'm not a huge fan of the Isaac/Doc story line but I really like every other character. Every episode feels like I'm watching TNG but with HD cameras. It's just great fun.

I'm so happy this show came into existence right when Star Trek proved it's boldly going where I'm not a fan of.

Really enjoyed the last episode...the smoking addiction was pretty funny.

Not sure why there is a 3 week break?  Was thinking maybe Fox had the NCAA basketball tournament (which I don't watch/care about) ... but checking Thursday's schedule and it's just reruns of Gotham and The Orville.  /shrug

The next episode is the season finale ... right?  :(

CBS also have Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon off for a few weeks. Must be a reason but it's not clear what

I think it may well be production/post-production delays. The Big Bang Theory shoots only a couple of weeks or so before it airs and they seem to take Young Sheldon off  with the parent show.

The Orville episodes may not be entirely finished post yet - particularly if there are some epic effects involved (or they're catching up after the ones from Identity earlier in the season).

In general, It's quite usual for there to be surprisingly little margin between production and broadcast, particularly in US TV.

I guess TV networks need to adjust to modern life. A 3 week hiatus is unforgivable on the Internet. People go nuts if something is 3 hours late. You can still roll out a once-a-week schedule, but skipping around randomly isn't done.

Bow to your new overlords, networks. Nerds.

Anyway, still enjoying the show. I'd give it a good 8/10 in general.

Seems like the Isaac/Doc story is pretty much over.  However, we haven't seen much (or any?) of Isaac since the invasion, so not sure how prevalent he'll be now.  I enjoyed Isaac separately and the whole Doc/Isaac romance thing was a little forced, but unless they start that up again that seems like a dead storyline now.  I'm hoping that Isaac hasn't been reduced to a background character though.

The actor who plays him thinks he's still an important character on the show (he's done some con interviews since the two parter mind you), and if the last episode of the season's title is any indication it might mean something to do with Isaac and the Kaylons. Maybe.

Loved it when Bortus was smacking on the gum on the bridge and Mercer asked him if it was helping and Bortus flat out said "No, it is not." 😆

ROTFL!!  Bortus didn't get any relief from chewing gum.  That scene had be rollin'.  Not to mention when he and his mate had a pile of cigarettes on a plate going through them one at a time like chips. lol.  I thought that entire episode was well written and well done.

They have been pretty blunt in confronting many social issues. And surprisingly not one note on them, or resolve them "happily' for the characters involved. I'm writing this in the middle of Sanctuary, and I'm not sure how it'll end based on how they've ended previous episodes. That is neat.

I mean, they telegraph what is "right", but not that what is "right" is what happens or that it is simple.

IMO, The Oroville, is just a cheesy knockoff of Star Trek TNG, But it's well done, I watch it and that's that, it's something that's on TV that's interesting. It's not as heavy or involved as other Star Trek series are,

And it's cool to see old Star Trek cast members do cameo's in The Orville.

    • I tried to get the latest secureboot certificate for my old Dell 7010 Optiplex machine.   I restored the default settings to Secure Boot. Big mistake.  Now when secure boot is on. The machine doesn't boot and complains about no booting devises.  The computer's secure boot can't find where to boot and the information apparently has to be entered manually.  Secureboot's settings are now years old and it can't find a new configuration.  What could be done here? There are plenty of files to choose from in the secureboot menu, but I don't know what to put there for each of the four Windows 11 upgraded from 10..... originally who knows what (used machine) without secureboot it booting normally

    • They need to follow the standard for AAA game but they will go at lowest level for triple a game because will sell more, earn kudos and the milk it for years anyway. look how much they milked gta 5 and how they milked the original 3 - San Andreas and vice city. it is probably going to be a fun game but then they allowed someone to remake classics that somehow were more broken and worse then original i hope they don’t ###### up this one!!!
