Orbital Starship; like SS I've bought for projects it it appears there is a removable poly layer, shiny or colored, over  the shiny parts away from the weld lines.

I believe SpaceX Starship will have practical usage in future but now it looks more like show case.
The Super Heavy stage is in a shadow now but IMO it will be the real primary player in not distant future - with expendable second stage it will be able to have heavy payloads and beat all competitors to send those payloads to the moon orbit and moon landing.

Musk stated a Starhopper-like expendable upper stage could release a swarm of probes and/or landers from the aft cargo bins as far our as the outer solar system.

County approves another round of SpaceX road closures

SpaceX is preparing for a second round of testing at its Boca Chica Beach Launch Site.

Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño Jr. announced Tuesday that he has ordered the temporary closure of State Highway 4 from Oklahoma Avenue to Boca Chica Beach.

The closure is scheduled for May 28 between 2 and 10 p.m. or in the alternative, on May 29 and/or May 30, according to a press release.

The first round of SpaceX testing at Boca Chica Beach spanned a three-week closure during March where State Highway 4 experienced multiple closures while SpaceX tested its Starship Hopper prototype.

Those tests concluded in early April when SpaceX fired up the Starship Hopper's Raptor engine and successfully completed a short "hop."

Why risk the infrastructure there when you have 2 perfectly flat slabs of concrete with nothing nearby to damage.

Which caused them to do a drone ship stage landing for a nominally LZ-1 mission. A dedicated pad event wouldn't necessarily mess up regular flow.

SSTO = Single Stage To Orbit,

 

Starship can fly orbit without the Super Heavy booster, just not much payload. OK for test flights etc..
