Yep, that procedure would make everything a lot easier. The sections being slightly off-sized would alleviate the need for "super careful handling" during shipping, transfer and storage too -- and that's when they'll have their design strength.

 

It's a heck of a way to go about things. Think of them like drum heads. Tighten 'em down when/how needed.

They're building a space-shipyard. We expected it to be in San Francisco or Iowa, but got Texas 😋

They **totally** rebuilt/reinforced  the Raptor test cell. L2 has aerial photos &  that mount is way beefier than you see here. It'll need it - bigly.
