Phone app always has a red notification dot

Hello everyone,

Ever since I upgraded to IOS16, my Phone app always has a red notification dot on it as you can see in the attached image.

Is this normal? There's no missed calls or voicemails, yet it's constantly there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's more of an annoyance than anything.
