i use firebird because one IE keeps kicking me out of one of my online game and firebird doesnt. and firebird has tab browsing. Ie is use for ALOT of purposes as well because it enables me to loads video clips and .rar files faster then firebird. And firebird doesnt view alot of sites properly so IE is usefu. hope they come out with a gant theme for firebird. and hopefully tab browsing for internet explorer.

can anyone offer a short comparison as to what firebird has over opera?  just curious since I've been an opera convert for a while now .. speed, tabbed browsing, mouse gestures .. i see so many people on the firebird bandwagon, just curious..

Mozilla 1.x is more like Opera, browser & mail where as Firebird is just the browser.

For one, it's completely free. No ads. It may be more customizable too. I'm not sure as I haven't tried Opera since about version 5. Quick installs by being able to just extract a build from a zip file & running the executable. While it may not be for the newbies, they do have an offiial installer now.

That's all I know because as I said, I haven't tried Opera in a long time.

well I just tried out firebird.. it offers more than I thought... those extensions are a great idea... it's just the little things that prevent me to switch from opera.. like google searching I just type "g music" and it will do a google search for music.. I guess it's hard to switch browsers once you're so used to something, but firebird is definitely something I'll keep on eye on.

thanks
